This was a very easy to use atlas.

This is the third State Gazetteer that I have purchased, and I think that for folks travelling by car, these are the best.

We've used Gazetteer maps for decades. When you need detailed maps for an area, including all the little podunk back roads, you just can't beat these. "Well, I use my GPS!", I hear someone saying. Yes, I use a GPS in the form of my Android phone. It's a great little device, but sometimes I lose a signal and -- crud! -- the phone reboots for some reason or the focus is lost on my navigation. Then the phone tries to access its data connection to no avail. It's good to have a backup plan. Just sayin'. This atlas is a must-have in your car. Pick your state and be prepared!

I like to scout out small lakes off the beaten path, and this Atlas has proven invaluable to me. Picture this: If you cut out all the pages and re-assembled them into a one-piece map it would be as roughly as big as the average front yard! Hardly anything is left out, including many small farm pond sized bodies of water. My best discovery to date was a tiny 'lake' South of Columbus, Ohio, with a picture of a fish on it. I made the short trip and proceeded to catch a 6 pound Bass out of it- unheard of in the more heavily populated lakes around Columbus.

If you don't own a gazeteer for your state I would suggest buying one. It is nice to be able to take the path less traveled and these show all of the county roads, etc. It also helps if something has closed an interstate and you need to find another way.

This whole series is great if you love to get off the main highways to really see a state. The back roads are well mapped as are sights to see and topographical features.

This is the third State Gazetteer that I have purchased, and I think that for folks travelling by car, these are the best. The maps show you side roads and areas of interest that you might not think of even looking for. The maps have side roads, state lands, waterways, anything you could want! Love them!

These Gazateers are a must for traveling to a new location, they will point out points of interest on a county level and show you the State and private camping areas, as well as giving you a brief write up on places to see and things to do. It will also show you bike trails, as well as hiking trails that one may wish to utilize. They can be a real must for when traveling to a new state.

Delormes are the best maps made they show every little road even farm roads in the state. So maps will show you little off shot road that you have to drive through small creeks to get to even! This map rocks if you like to be out in the country like we do. We carry them in both our cars always!
