This was just what I needed: a book to tell me where is worth visiting across the US. Not every place is given equal weight, so you get the real story on what is worth seeing as opposed to a democratic unhelpful index of all the sights in the country. I think their recommendations are good and appropriate for both families and non-kid travelers; they have the most beautiful natural sights and the most significant cultural sights. Special areas like Yellowstone and the biggest metropolis' get full-page maps and descriptions.
