Excellent, as usual

I've already bought the japanese one. This one is made on the same model.
Useful phrases, easy to find, as very cleverly arranged. And some basic and understandable grammar explanations to help you to make your own sentences. The prononciation is very well indicated (thought it can be tricky for not english native speakers). Plus design in this new edition is pretty cool. The best way to learn a little korean I've found.

Size really does matter!

I love the fact this book is so small; it fits in any sized handbag and even in a back pocket on jeans! The sections are color-coded, which makes it easier to find what you need in most any situation.

Learning Korean

Lonely Planet is the best!

I have Lonely Planet phrasebooks for three other languages (Italian, French, and German, all awesome) so I knew that was the way to go for Korean.
I wanted a phrasebook that would give me both the hangul writing and the roman letter pronunciations. Not many other phrasebooks I looked at had both. This one also has a legit grammar section in the front that teaches you how to read the hangul and pronounce the different sounds, which takes a little practice but the book lays it out well.
Overall a good buy :)

Korean reference book.

I ordered this book for a recent trip to Korea. It is a very nice quick reference book, that slips nicely in a pocket. I kept it handy in case I needed it during our travels. I figured I could always in a pinch show a word or phrase to a Korean if needed. Fortunately, many Koreans speak some English and it was not needed for that. Also many signs are also listed in English. I did however use it to read ingredients on Korean food packages to ensure no wheat, as we are gluten intolerant. Ironically, I noted a Korean woman, on our airplane home, having the exact same book; except from Korean to English!

very useful, but like all mini guidebooks

very useful, but like all mini guidebooks, almost worthless in real life, you better use it ot study and memorize phrases instead of on the spot use.
