We have a house in Bermuda which we love and which MANY other people have loved. Our friends, especially those who have never been to Bermuda, often want to make lists of sights they need to see. (Until the rum, the sun, and the views calm them down.) As far as I'm concerned, the Fodor is very useful - well presented, thorough and well-illustrated. I think it;s the best Bermuda guidebook out there. Even rum-stained.

Fodor's are typically very thorough. We leave for vacation next week, so we'll see how acurate the book is. Trip Advisor rates our hotel as a 5 star (Pompano Beach Club), as did our travel agency (AAA), but Fodor's review was nothing more than average. I sometimes wonder about book reviews of a property vs. travelers actual reviews, so we'll see.

I just came back from our cruise and nothing in the book proved inaccurate. Reading the book prior to leaving was quite fun, building anticipation. But the book is organized as a collection of shorter books or articles more than as a classical guidebook with sections like "attractions," "hotels" and "restaurants." I was expecting because of the Fodors name something more like the old mobil guides or like a AAA book. Where themes for the articles overlapped they repeated the same information twice. They did not in any way take advantage of the ebook potential by making links when the book repeated.
