Review
"The brilliant minds at Obvious State just made us fall in love with Paris all over again." Elle Magazine
"Co-authors Evan and Nichole Robertson pull back those fine French gossamer curtains to give us a rare treat: a full day's meandering through a single neighborhood. This sans-itinerary virtual escape captures the essential spirit of City of Light as no guidebook can." Instyle Magazine
"Nichole and Evan Robertson are two of the most talented people I know and they've finally put their heads together to create the ultimate fictionalized Parisian escape. If Nichole's gorgeous photos don't grab you, the impossibly charming narrative of a perfect day spent in Paris will. Fair warning: I guarantee you'll be searching for last-minute fares by the time you reach the last page."
Vince Camuto "A unique type of travelogue combining the eyes of a photographer, graphic artist, and diarist makes for an entertaining afternoon of reading and perusing."
Lee Razor, Goodreads Librarian "Funny. Beautiful. Captivating. The Paris Journal is unlike anything I've ever read. This isn't a story for the person looking for the usual Paris. Or a broad tale of stereotypes and expected locales. Instead, this book takes the reader on a day-long journey that explores hidden gems within a section of the city often forgotten by tourists (Notre Dame excepting) seen through the eyes of an intelligent, soulful and humorous American. She eats, drinks, and creates imaginary lives for the locales around her. I couldn't stop reading from beginning to end. And more than anything, the poetic language and gorgeous, scene-setting photographs made me want to leap on the first plane to Paris to follow her journey step to step. I can't wait for the next installment to see where the next installment will take her." --Amazon Reader AWellReadWoman
From the Author
Our goal with The Paris Journal has always been to provide a fun escape. There are plenty of wonderful guidebooks and articles about what to do and see in Paris, but that's not what The Paris Journal is. We wanted the reader experience to be voyeuristic, a virtual trip, a fly-on-the-wall moment. We hope you enjoy it!
