We were on the cape for only a few days, so we just skimmed the surface of the book. It was good for our needs with one major exception: there is no "comparative recommendations" for those staying only a short time. We would've appreciated a "star system", for example, so we'd focus on the higher "star" locations first, and get to the lower "star" ones if time permitted. Instead, the book is very "linear", describing each town/area independent of one another. The author sort of acknowledges this in an indirect way in the introduction to the book when he addresses those having only 3 days on the cape. You can read that part on Amazon before committing to buying the book.
We arrived on the cape late in the evening and decided to have dinner at a restaurant recommended in the book. It was spot on ! So, we continued to rely on the dining recommendations in the book and every time he hit a home run! I suppose this has a lot to do with my 4 star rating.
