I honestly have not followed a lot of Jim Korkis' blog posts. I am still a print guy, so for me The Vault of Walt was pretty much all new material. And there were some essays that I still often reflect on when mulling Disney history. But with the original printing now out of print and the cheapest copies at the time of this posting starting in the mid $50 range, I just cannot recommend that edition. Now fortunately it does appear that the price has been dropping thanks to the printing of The Revised Vault of Walt. But the revised edition did not collect all of the original material. Could a second volume of this series make all of the original content available at an affordable price?

The Vault of Walt Volume 2: More Unofficial, Unauthorized, Uncensored Disney Stories Never Told by Jim Korkis continues in collecting his essays on Disney history. Like the earlier versions this book is broken into four sections; Walt Disney Stories, Disney Film Stories, Disney Park Stories, and Other Disney Stories. The essays are not connected and can be read out of order. Essays printed before include: "Santa Walt", "Blackbeard's Ghost", "Captain Eo", and "Golden Oak Ranch". New stories range from "Walt and NASA", "Secrets of the Santa Cartoons", "The Birth of the Disneyland Jungle Cruise", and "The Seven Snow Whites" which show the diversity of the included essays.

The Vault of Walt Volume 2 contains 15 new essays. And honestly some of these essays caught my interest just with their titles matching some of my own personal interests. I am a huge fan of Roy O. Disney so I enjoyed diving into "Roy O.

Tells more than just the park story, talks about the man behind the mouse. Makes Disney sound like more of a party than work.

Another great journey into the halls of Disney history. Here you'll find anecdotes that help fill in some of the gaps. A fun read.

It's been a while since I finished this but it was worth buying even though I had Vault 1 due to the new stories told. Jim prose is very easy to read and he doesn't sugar coat Walt Disney history and he's not a harsh critic, the stories he relates help give you a true picture of Walt, the real life person and not some imyth.

Jim Korkis continues to amaze! He has such a wealth of information about Disney and everything connected with it. Also his writing is good. Each story is told in a way to entertain as well as inform. I would recommend his books to anyone who has enjoyed or continues to enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth! Plus they make super gifts!

Jim Korkis does it again with another great book on Walt Disney and Disney Parks. This book is written in short stories that make you feel like you were a part of the creation of Disney's World. Do yourself a favor and get this book and the first volume, you will not be disappointed.

I look forward to every Jim Korkis book on Disney. This book continues Jim's previous winning streak of the previous Disney books from the past few years. I enjoy that Jim's book is separated into different subject sections - Walt Disney Stories, Disney Film Stories, Disney Park Stories, and Other Disney Stories. I found something to enjoy in every story that Jim shares in this book. I also enjoyed reading some new stories I had never heard before, even though I'm a long-time Disney history buff. If you enjoyed the previous books Vault Of Disney, Who's Afraid Of Song of the South?, and the Revised Vault of Walt, then you will also enjoy this book. If you haven't read those previous three books, you're missing a great deal of info and enjoyment in the stories Jim shares about Disney history. Jim brings together a love for Walt Disney and the Disney Company creators over the years, but he is not restricted to just hero worship. He shares some of the low points in Disney history, but avoids using a poisen pen to write such stories. I don't know of any other Disney author that shares his respect and love for Disney history and also shares the weaknesses without being prejudiced about it. Anyone who has interest in Walt Disney, the Disney films and parks, and all things Disney would get a great deal of info and enjoyment out of reading the stories in this book. I much enjoyed reading this book and look forward to re-reading this book and the other Disney books by Jim. Now I can also start hoping for another volume of the Vault of Walt in a year or so. I can barely contain my impatience for Volume 3.

This book is pretty decent, but the author seems to hesitate to tell some of the darker stories about Walt Disney. Korkis is obviously a huge fan of Disney and wants to maintain the facade that he was a saint and never a sinner. A couple of the chapters almost feel as if Korkis refuses to pull back the curtain and reveal the truth. I did enjoy the book overall.
