About the Author

Pamela Littky lives and works as a photographer in Los Angeles. In between shoots of world-famous actors and musicians for top commercial and editorial clients, Littky has pursued personal projects that show a decidedly less glamorous but completely compelling side of American culture.

This is an incredible book! The photographer captures the aura of an entire forgotten community and tells a very powerful story with her photos. You feel like you have been invited in to participate in the lives of the community through a two way mirror--the photographer is able to expose the souls of her subjects in the kindest and most respectful way. I was completely moved. As someone who does not buy a lot of art books, I was led to this by an article I read about it on the internet, and am so glad I found my way to it! I will look for this photographer's work in the future--she has an incredible eye and touch. A great holiday gift for sure!
