I loved it so much that I bought "Weird Colorado" and "Weird Kentucky" for my mother-in-law and she loved her books.

This is a really fun and useful book. It features many, many interesting places in Colorado, with very great descriptions, pictures, etc. A friend received Weird Colorado as a gift and when I saw it, I knew this would be a most appropriate Christmas gift for my adult children. I found it on Amazon, and ordered one for each of my sons, plus one for myself. Don't let the title or the cover picture scare you off. This is a book every Colorado home should have, plus being a definite attention-getter when others see the title.

This book is very informative and I have send it to my nephew and family as a Christmas gift. They have children the ages that this book would be very interesting to them. It is a family gift. This book was given to our dentist and they have it in their waiting room. It does take some of the pain out of being at the dentist. I recommend it to people that live in Colorado or tourists that come to Colorado.

I knew that the Colorado version was being written and I was really looking forward to it. But when it was finally released, I was very disappointed since all of the information seemed to have been gathered off of the Internet. As a transplanted "Jerseygirl," I started visiting and collecting what I called my "non-tourist" tour over the past 25 years. My "tour" includes things like visiting the cemetery at Alma, taking pictures of the "orbs" in Crestone, attending the Frozen Dead Guy Days in Nederland, searching for the wild donkeys up in Cripple Creek, actually throwing a fruitcake in Manitou, etc. I have stories and reports of everything from Bigfoot, to hauntings, to UFOs (from military men), all gathered from native Coloradoans--including my own Black helicopter sighting. Oh well, at least "we" were represented in the series. But it would have been a better book if had been written by someone who fell in love with Colorado's true weirdness and proudly flies their freak-flag.

I saw this book at a local coffee shop and I fell in love with it. I love reading about the history of Colorado. There were things in this book that I really did not know about. I am a native of Colorado (3rd generation Coloradan) and have lived here for 30+ years with my family being from other parts of Colorado. This is a great book to have on your coffee table if you are from Colorado, live in Colorado or are planning a trip to Colorado.

It is entertaining, full of pictures and full of great short stories that it will keep you reading. I loved it so much that I bought "Weird Colorado" and "Weird Kentucky" for my mother-in-law and she loved her books. She's from Kentucky but lives in Colorado Springs.

Great little book to have around. Good buy!

I have the Weird USA book, but when I saw Weird Colorado in the bookstore I knew I had to get it. The places in the book will give my husband and me many weekends of enjoyment searching them out.

This book is concise, entertaining, and very complete. We are a native of Colorado and a thirty year resident. The book gives us unusual places to include as we explore our home state. I recommend it as an informative guide for anyone visiting or living here.

As a student of Colorado History, I was familiar with some of the items in this book but there were many that were new to me and a few that awakened old memories of long ago trips throughout Colorado. A great book, well researched, and very well written, I would highly recommend this work to anyone interested in the odd, off-beat, and unusual aspects of Colorado history

Not what I expect it is basically a book about ghost stories in colorado that actually don't even seem to worth any substance imo. I wouldn't buy it again honestly.
