I do really love DK books, any books, tourist guides, animal guides, whatever. However, this time I am going to tell you something else. I bought a DK New England guide because we were visiting New England, and although I still give this guide high praise, we basically realized than in today's world, with smart phones, there is so much information these guides miss, that there is just no way they can get my 5 stars rating. And, be aware, this one I got was the very last one that was just edited on July 2014, so we got the very last edition, and some of the information was either old, not accurate, etc.
Still, I have to say that as a guide, the quality of DK is outstanding. I do appreciate all the hundreds of visuals, and still, if you are a little bit old fashioned and scared of the smart phone, I'd say this would still be the (other) best way to go.
