Pride was a quick and enjoyable read. It's an honest and up front telling of one man's journey to get to where he wanted to be in life. The obstacles he had to overcome and the pain he endured along the way. It also gives a very uncommon look into what happens, and what someone goes through, if they quit or drop during BUD/S training. It's a book that will inspire and make you think about some of your own life choices. Definitely worth reading!

I could hardly put this book down once I started it. Brett' s story is incredible and he tells it with such honesty. I taught this young man his senior year and I admire the man he has become. His words are compelling and the obstacles he faces would bring even the strongest man to his knees, but Brett never gave up. His drive, perseverance, and commitment are inspiring. Well done Brett!

This was an enjoyable book to read. Brett Jones was very open about his childhood and early life and his successes and failures in the military. He does a good job of describing the possible consequence of being gay in the military and his experience of having to deal with being outed while in the Navy Seals. This book is worth reading and his relevant to today's political environment.
