    Loved It!!

I really enjoyed reading Brian's book. I grew up with rock'nroll in the 70's and my son grew with with Korn in the 90's. All that I've heard about living on the road as a rock band was confirmed in Brian's story.

I am so happy for Brian that he has found Jesus and with that, peace.
I asked to be in God's light when my son was born, over 20 yrs. ago.

What Brian says about the struggles that Christians face in these pages are so true and he says it so eloquently.

I have been inspired by your story, Brian, God Bless You!!

    Informational

I have been a huge Korn fan for about 10 years, Head was always my fav. I was sad when he left Korn and always wondered why. The book really explains alot. Mostly all of the mistakes that he made though out his life and his recovery. It kept me going becuase I am a Korn fan and I wanted to know what exactlly happen that made him leave Korn. It was interesting to see inside the life of Korn. It would be a great read for someone that loves inspirational stories. Overall I am glad that I have read it just for the fact that I wanted to know what happened.

    I Also Recommend:

I ready Fieldy's book first, then I needed to know how he and Head took such different approaches to living their faith so I bought this book.

Head's story should be read by all Korn fans and anyone who cares about music, personal transformation & Christianity (or any one of them). I'm a Korn fan, both of these books made me take a deeper look at life and faith; now I'm an even bigger Korn fan! Thank you Head!

What I Strive to Be Like

I put reading this book off for many months. I finally started reading it and was blown away by how much I want to be like this guy. If God offers it, he wants it, regardless of how it might look. This was a wonderful book and I long to be closer to Jesus because of it.

    S'alright i guess

Definitely NOT what i had expexted from someone who had spent so much time in one of the worlds biggest bands. Like most of korns recent releases welchs book is largely dissapointing and most of the time just seems to narc out and point the finger at his former bandmates.

    A DIFFERENT ANGLE

This is a good read for seeing how God can change anyone. I learned about the sub-culture of dark-metal music. Brian did not sugar coat his story but was straight forward. I believe this book can and will reach a younger generation for Jesus Christ. Worth the time to read and software worked good on Nook.

    Ok....

Well I have to admit I am having a really hard time reading this book even though I find the story quite interesting. I love Head to so it pains me to say this...the book is very elementary. I am not sure if he is just trying not to offend anyone.but the entire time I was reading it I question who he was writing this book for. The story was great, but I just felt like it was "dumbed" down some.

    Save Me From Myself

The story starts out pretty good where he explains trouble growing up with drug and drinking problems and leads into the birth of his daughter. I am sorry, but I totally lost interest about half way through this book and I just couldn't finish it. I wish that he would have hired experts to help out with his story, because he has a message to express. I am proud of the author because of turning his life around, if he would write another book with the help of experts then I would consider purchasing again, but I will save the end of the story for a day when I have nothing better to read. No offense to the author, Please hire a team of writing experts to keep your story along a page turning pace and then you will gain a better reputation as an author and a healthy following of fans. Good Luck, Brian. God Speed

    Inspirational Read

I appreciate the way he wrote this book as though he were having a conversation with a friend. Kudos to him for writing his story in such an honest light without glamorizing his drug use. It took courage to expose his journey to God and his day-to-day struggles. If you need inspiration to kick a habit, be a better parent, or find God, then this book is for you.

I am an 68 year old recovering addict with some clean time and found Brian's story compelling. The Lord can help us suffering addicts if we let Him. Great story and I can relate with him. Will give this book to my group to enjoy. Happy days,ChcukD

    Priorities

Book review: Save Me from Myself

In this exhilarating novel, Save Me from Myself, Brian "Head" Welch doesn't mess around by setting the scene. He starts off the book with a bang. Drug abuse, sex, a new born daughter, and some very serious marital problems.
Brian starts out as a normal teenage rocker in Bako, California. Until he started to experiment with drugs, and that's where all of his problems got started. Brian was in many bands before he helped start KORN. Brian hated being on the road for many reasons, but you will have to figure those reasons out for yourself.
I encourage everyone to read this novel. It doesn't matter if you are a KORN fan or not, you will be moved by this book because it's not just about a man who put on rock shows and partied a lot, it's also about life and how faith and family are the two most important things on the planet.
Although Brian made it big, he was on a very rocky road all the way to the top. "Take life as it is."

    Interesting and Inspiring

Brian Welch may not be a natural writer for say, but he sure poured out everything he had from his past into this book, and I found it rather inspiring. As a former Korn fan turned Christian, no longer necessarily caring much for some of the lyrics within Korn's music, though I still listen to some of their songs, I thought it was totally awesome and inspiring what God did for Brian Welch. I mean...this guy was in a pretty bad place for so long, and when it didn't seem like anyone could save him from his despair, even himself, a loving God came down and rescued him, and I just think that's so amazing, and God really did a lot of great things through Brian after his transformation. I mean heck, if God can save a guy from drugs and have him kick the habit with little to no recovery or relapse, just think of what else He can do. God is the key people! He can take you from the deepest depths you may have been in or are in and can totally transform your life! Anyway, that's enough from me. Brian Welch also has a great album titled just like his book. I recommend it totally. It's like Korn in a lot of ways, but Christian. It's totally cool. He also has another book out called Washed By Blood, though I haven't read it, but I'm sure it's pretty good. I am going to check it out at some point. Anyway, check out this book all! God bless!
