Meet the Author

Jodi Ellen Malpas was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, UK, where she lives with her family. Working for the family construction business fulltime and with the prospect of taking it over once her father retired, she tried to ignore the lingering idea of writing a novel until it became impossible. She finally found the time and courage to release her creative streak and in October 2012 self-published This Man as an e-book. She took a chance on a story with some intense characters, notably Mr. Jesse Ward, the Lord of the Manor, and sparked incredible reactions from women all over the world. Two months later, Jodi made the decision to give up her day job to concentrate on her new and very unexpected career in writing.

Jesse and Ava were the most unlikeable characters I have ever read in any romance book and I have read hundreds. I love alpha males but he was not one. He was a bully, a liar, a cheater and deceitful. She had the least backbone of any female I've ever had the misfortune to read about. Her character is what absolutely ruined the book for many people I'm sure. She was also deceitful and a liar. Before I read another book by this author, I will have to know that the female lead is not a weak coward.

Jodi Does it Again!!!! Jesse Ward is as addicting as ever.

AMAZING. I don't want to spoil anything but Book 3 stays true to the Jesse Ward we have loved since Book 1. I cried... i panicked... i laughed... i was on an emotional rollercoaster beginning to end. I took no breaks... could not put it down. Jodie Ellen Malpas is truly talented!!! I will continue to follow her career... she's going places! Its hard to have this trilogy come to an end but I couldn't be happier with these books. Cant wait to have a nice set of them on my bookshelf one day... right next to my other favorites. These are definitely going to be re-read throughout the years!

I enjoyed the first 2 books but the third book trampled me. I have read a few trilogies and felt the endings were rushed, not this one. The characters stories all came full circle. Jessie's story made me fall for him hard. After learning what happens to him in his pass, I have no words to explain the pain I felt for him. He so deserved Ava and all the love that they worked so hard for. This is a true love story and well worth the read. Order all 3 at once you will not put it down, END OF!!!!!

    This Man Confessed

This was book three of the this man series and by far the BEST book I have read all year(which means a lot considering a read about 2-3 books a week). Erotic Romance is my thing, and this book fed my addiction. The story line was amazing and left me speechless on more than one occasion. I laughed out loud, I cried, and I covered my eyes at some points because I did not want to know what was coming next.(my husband thinks I'm crazy, lol) I love the length of the book it seemed to go on forever and never leaving me unsatisfied. READ THIS SERIES!!!!! You will not be disappointed, and book three is icing on a moist cake. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars is not enough.

ok - there is a whole genre of the Alpha/controlling male. I get that - I like books with that.

However, this guy is just a jerk. In relationships that work that way - the idea is for the man to be in control, but in a way that he dominates and takes CARE of the woman.

In this book, he's just insane. He does whatever he wants, then gives her mind-blowing sex and expects all to be fine. Never talks to her, deals with anything, or really listens to her AT ALL. It's just wrong.

Engaging read, but a little disturbing

    MY REVIEW:

I’m torn on this series, and having this book closing it out. And I’m torn for a few valid reasons. Okay, first and foremost let me just get this out there: I could not put this series down. But, as I came to this book I found it easier to do. Despite my issues with it, I was fully engaged. The drama really had my breath catching and with each page turned, there was some new twist that literally had me squeezing my e-reader tighter. Yes, it was that angsty.

That being said, I have a few issues with this (these) books. One, the relationship these two are in is completely unhealthy. I have never had a hero and heroine that I have disliked so much or frowned upon so much in my entire reading life. That’s saying a bit, especially since Fifty Shades wasn’t so keen on the healthy relationships either. These two did more destruction to one another, hurt, and brought out the worst in each other more than any other couple I’ve read about or known.

Which leads to my second issue. One moment the heroine would be strong, standing up for something she believes in, and rightly putting the hero in his place. In the next second she’d be on her back, having sex, and nothing would be resolved. It led to another circle altogether with additional issues to arise. It was extremely frustrating and I again, a huge turn off.

The last issue was the writing. There was a lot of repetition and telling in this book, and I felt as if the two took me out of the character’s heads and reminded me I was merely reading the book, not experiencing it.

Outside of those issues though, again, I would say I had to keep reading, and had to see what was going to happen next. I really wish I liked these two characters more, but if I’m completely honest, the only reason I continued to turn the page was because it was like a train wreck and I couldn’t look away. I will check out more from this author in the future, although if the characters are like this, I doubt I’ll finish them.

All in all, I enjoyed this read. 3.5 stars out of 5.

This trilogy is fabulous! I couldn't put it down. This story should be ranked with Shades of Grey and Bared to You.

    To the one stars...

Are you guys 13 yrs old, or just some rich people that never had to deal with life circumstances and rough times in relationships because you bought your way out? I have been married 15 yrs to the same man, and trust me it aint easy. We can both, at times, be selfish, immature, manipulative, errogant jerks, etc., towards each other. But we love one another to our cores, and he drives me insane (sexually). Thats ALL REAL relationships. Unless you live in a land of avoidence and oblivion.

I was hesitating to read this book, but Thank the LORD I did not. I love it. It was a total rollercoaster with emotions.
You love them and then you hate them and back to loving the characters. I would not change anything from this story.

Very sad to say goodbye to Jesse, but what a way to go!

So I found myself at The Manor attending Jesse's and Ava's wedding. And what a spectacle that was! Typical Jesse and Ava. That's all I will say.

And that was just the wedding. The honeymoon and everything that comes after it was even better.

    Happiness.

    Anger.

    Sex.

    Surprises.

    Tears.

    Sex.

    Betrayal.

    Secrets.

    Sex.

    Confessions.

    Confrontations.

    Sex.

    Love.

    One hell of perfect EPILOGUE.

I wish I could tell you more about what went on, but I wouldn't have wanted to know before reading the book, so I won't share.

However, I will tell you this much...

Jodi Ellen Malpas did an amazing job in bringing the series to a close. From beginning to end, every element she added to the story worked together to make This Man Confessed an exceptional ending to Jesse and Ava's love story. From the range of emotions to the twists and turns that had me gripping my tablet, this installment was everything I was expecting and so much more. I was riveted to the story, its characters and its progression. I still laughed at Jesse's controlling nature, melted with his every tender word and was proud to see that Ava finally grew as a character. I also cried and sighed and grinned.

Then just as I finally accept that this is the very last of Jesse I will ever see, I tap my screen to find an Epilogue. And what an Epilogue that was! Well played, Jodi Ellen Malpas, well played. You finally managed to make me completely fall in love with Mr. Jesse Ward.

"We're not conventional, baby. But we're special. What we have is really special. You belong to me, and I belong to you. It just is."

I received this title from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange of my honest opinion.

    Intruged

I was really sad when I finished reading. I wanted more! I enjoyed this out of the three the best. I have never laughed and cried so much when reading a book. I have read the Fifty Shades of Grey and I honestly like this trilogy better. The story is great, the characters are likable and the sex is awesome. This trilogy should be a movie!
