When a movie crew asks to film on his cattle ranch, Logan McCormack doesn’t expect Desiree Jenkins, the young, sought-after star, to be so open, so down-to-earth, or so intimately interested in him. But the last thing a loner like Logan needs is a distraction like Des, who wouldn’t understand what it’s like to live peacefully off the land.

But it’s Logan who doesn’t understand. What Des wants is an escape from paparazzi and gossip columns, and she’s found it at Logan’s ranch. Now it’s up to her to prove that she’s like any other girl looking to be accepted for who she is. And she’s hoping that it’s by this real-life cowboy who has everything it takes—and more—to give her the kind of happily ever after that can’t be found in the movies.

    REVIEW:
Love love love Jaci!!! She always knows how to pull me into a story and make me fall in love with the characters. Jaci also always make it so easy for me to want to strangle the characters at times too. And Hope Ignites is no difference.

I loved Logan. He is a total alpha male, a cowboy and a man who thinks he need no one in his life. Logan is an island of his own and he is about to met a hurricane named Desiree..

Desiree is awesome. I love her back bone of steel. I love that she stands by her best friend no matter what. And I absolutely loved how she blow in and turned Logan’s world upside down.

Needless to say I loved this book and can’t wait for the next installment in this series.

    Worth The Wait!!

Loved the characters & the chemistry. Full of passion from beginning to end. Des was a great fit for Logan. I actually think it was the best one from this series, having read them all. I could not put this book down. Definitely a re-read.
I'm at the edge of my seat waiting for the next one.

Even though all of the books in this series were great reads, I liked the fact that they could be stand alones, while at the same time, including the other characters within this great story. Outstanding! A must buy!

    A Bit Different

Jaci Burton is one of my favorite authors and I think I have read all of her sports themed books... Loved them... This one was a change of pace and I really enjoyed the story of the Rancher with baggage and the actress with some of her own... Surprised by the emphasis on a homosexual romance but it fit in the context of the story... Will continue to read the rest of the series and anything else Ms. Burton writes... She is a very talented story teller.

Great blend of Hollywood and life on a ranch. Love the chemistry between Des and Logan. Didn't want to put the book down. Read it in one day.

    Average.

Oh, hum, story. Lack-luster descriptions of first impressions by the main characters and bland plot were only the beginning. There were no sparks! One dimensional sentences throughout, very little angst, and apparently not much chemistry turned out a very average story. Take it or leave it.

    S.A.K.

Looking for a nice summer read where the two characters should not click but they do anyway, then read this stand alone book with a decent HEA. My only negative is that the main female character, Des, has to constantly deal with her man, Logan's issues. His lack of trust, his lack of empathy for her career, his lack of compromise and his willingness to let her just leave without fighting for her. He did make up for it at the end of it but I need more of their connection and hope to see it when the next book in this series comes out. It was also a bit distracting in this book to have a second underlying relationship occurring between Colt and his love. Read it and enjoy. I hope the author gives Logan and Des's love story some more growth in the next Hope book.

    Good Read

The second in this series was as good as the first. I enjoyed Logan and Des's story as they both learned about themselves. I will say though, I felt Logan got the short end of the stick often in this book, often accused of being insensitive. I think both characters had a lot to learn about relationships.

I really like this series. The first book Hope Flames was my introduction to Jaci Burton and let's just say I have found a new author to add to my favorites list. She makes the characters and places so real. Be forewarned book hangovers will happen with her Hope series. Logan was just as I thought when I met him in the first book rugged, handsome, stubborn, hot! I loved Des's honesty the most, how she always layed it out on the table. I can't wait to read the next book!

Can a headstrong, straight-talkin’ actress fall for an extremely jaded, gruff cowboy and live happily ever after?

I don’t want to write a long review because I want the reader to discover the mystery behind the strong, silent Logan McCormack. Des is his perfect match and I think that’s what bothers Logan the most. He definitely doesn’t make it easy for Des to love him, but it sure is one hell of a ride.

I really love this book and the series. The characters are easily relatable, the story lines are always entertaining and the love stories are always hard-won victories. I also loved the secondary characters and hope to see them all in future books. Another brilliant read from Jaci Burton

This was the second book of the series and it was fantastic!! Logan lets a move crew onto his land to film a movie and he falls for Des. Can Logan and Des make it work as they live in two different worlds. I can't tell you how much I love reading Jaci Burton books/series and I can't want for the next one.

Jaci Burton's second novel in the Hope series, Hope Ignites is a

Jaci Burton's second novel in the Hope series, Hope Ignites is a study in the theory of opposite attraction. Burton brings readers a tale of a cowboy and actress, who is a lot different than what readers would assume. Burton's trademark sensuality exudes from this story and readers will find it hard not to like these amazing characters. Animals are still a huge part of the series, as is, family, friendship and the ties that bind. Burton's novel has all the qualities necessary for a great contemporary romance with a cowboy twist.

    What I liked:

Jaci Burton is an author that understands the chemistry of her characters and what it takes to make the reader feel it. In all of her books from her erotic romances to her new contemporary series, Burton lets that spark of connection grow and expand until it is hard to understand why these characters don't see what's happening between them. I think it's a rare gift to be able to see the strands of romance floating around two people and Burton has it. The real trick is letting the reader see it too and she excels at that. Logan and Des in Hope Ignites have some serious attraction going on right from the beginning, but it's the small moments and the little things that develop it and let the reader in on it.

Des is an actress who isn't at all what the reader might expect. Most would think this character would be spoiled and selfish, but that's not the route that Burton took with this character. Des may be in the limelight but the limelight isn't in her. She is a down to earth character, who is self-confident and not afraid to go after what she wants. That has served her well in her career and now she is at a crossroads. She yearns for the peace and contentment she finds on the ranch where she is filming her latest movie and the comfort and companionship she finds in Logan. Burton has created an actress who doesn't really want to act. I loved her from the first paragraph about her and when she decided it was Logan she wanted she pursued him, now there's a novel idea.

Logan was the strong silent type. He is a bit of a brooder, which is something I sometimes like in a good hero. He lives and works on a huge ranch and has little need for people he doesn't come into contact with every day. He has his demons and they plague him to some extent where Des is concerned. Can she be happy on the ranch? Is she really interested in him, a common man? That sort of thing. Which came across as realistic and understandable. I thought he was a little too uncommunicative in most situations, but with Des he opened and the reader could see the kind of man he really was. Capable and caring, full of honor and dignity. A real cowboy! Jaci Burton and cowboys... now that's quite a combination!

    What I didn't like:

I thought Burton did a better job with this book than the first in the series. She is finding her niche in this genre and there wasn't really a lot to criticize with this one. I thought the hero could have been a bit more open and had a stronger personality, but if the reader gave him a chance he certainly could grow on you.

    Bottom Line:

A great second effort in this new writing style for Burton. This book had two very opposite characters who come together to form a great romantic connection. Burton explores the female taking the lead and it worked well. I think this is a great series and I hope Burton continues to try her hand at the contemporary genre. She's definitely getting the hang of it.

Hope Ignites is the 2nd book in Jaci Burton’s Hope series. I loved the first book in this series, Hope Flames and couldn’t wait to read this book. I have to say after reading Hope Ignites, that Jaci Burton is quickly rising on my must read list. This was a wonderful book, and a fabulous couple. Logan is our hero, as we met him in the first book, being Luke’s brother. Logan is not interested in anything but taking care of his ranch. He is not interested in woman or relationships, other than a one night stand. Logan has a long memory of the mother who left them, and refuses to allow himself to suffer like his father did. He has no intention of allowing any woman into his life.

When he agrees to let a film production use part of his huge property to film a movie, he has not idea that his life is about to change. We meet our fabulous heroine, Desiree Jenkins (Des), a famous actress, who is the star of the movie. She is an awesome heroine; strong, confident, refreshingly honest, and fun loving. It doesn’t take notice for Des to notice the hot ranch owner, and once she does, Logan doesn’t stand a chance when he is caught up in the whirlwind called Des. It is Martha, who is Logan’s housekeeper is a big fan of Des and her leading man, Colt; and that opens the door, as she enlists Logan’s aid to visit the set and met the cast.

What follows is a fantastic hot steamy romance of a couple, who are enjoying the moment, knowing there is no future for them. Logan becomes obsessed with Des, but knows she has her career, and loves what she is doing. He loves his ranch, and has no thought of becoming part of the wild world of the film industry. Des, in between her filming, learns all about the small town of Hope, and Logan’s ranch. She dreams of having a place of her own, away from the glare of the public, but at the same time loves her career. But for the couple of months in Hope, Logan and Des become totally involved and it’s fun to get to see some of the characters we met in the first book. I really enjoyed the buildup of this romance, and Burton has quite a few sizzling sex scenes that truly will steam up your kindle (if you have paper, then your mirror will steam up). ¿
They made such a great fun couple, though at times I wanted to smack Logan for being so nasty to Des, letting his past (the mother who left them) effect his thinking.
I loved Des’s relationship with her leading man, Colt, who is her best friend. Colt is gay, and is still in the closet; as he hides his relationship with Tony, his boyfriend. Many people, including Logan, at first, think of Des and Colt as having a relationship, which helps Colt hide the truth. But Des tries to convince him not to hide and to come out and live openly. Nice friendship between them, very well done.

Hope Ignites was a wonderful fun and sexy romance that pulls you totally in. Des was absolutely wonderful, and she is perfect for Logan. Will they find a way to get past the major obstacles stand in their way? Will Logan ever get past his thinking all woman are like his mother, and trust Des? Will Colt find his happy ending? You will have to read this fabulous book to find out. I will say that Jaci Burton gives us a wonderful and uplifting climax that rivals some great movies that we have seen. Wonderful!

    4.5 Stars
Who doesn’t love a hot and sexy cowboy? I know I’m not immune! And Logan McCormack in Hope Ignites is over-the-top dreamy and broody. Mix him with a self-assured movie star, Desiree Jenkins, and you have sparks flying all over the place.

This is the second in the Hope series, and can easily be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first book, Hope Flames, but I never felt like I was missing anything. I’ve been a fan of Jaci’s since I started reading her Play by Play series. The last one I read, Thrown for a Curve, was not my fave, but I definitely wanted to read more by Jaci as I loved her earlier books in the series. The Hope series is one I plan to continue to read.

Jaci Burton delivered a story that instantly involved me in the lives of Logan and Des along with their friends and family. Logan comes across as a stoic, strong rancher who has some personal demons to deal with. Des is forever in the spotlight and her friends have some serious issues that they are facing. I really appreciated how Jaci handled those.

From the moment I picked this one up, I did not want to put it down. The push and pull between Logan and Des had me completely engrossed in knowing whether or not their two very diverse lives could work together. Throw in some steamy hot scenes and some stubbornness, and you have a book that kept me turning pages from beginning to end. I will note that there’s one part that is an inconsistency in Des’s family background that I expect was resolved in the final proofread. For me, that threw me off quite a bit. Overall, loved it and recommend it!
