The new breathtaking novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the This Man trilogy

ONE NIGHT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH . . .

Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin . . . signed M.

All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He's obnoxious but well-mannered. He's a gentleman but aloof. He's passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can't deny him . . . or herself.

M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed-and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he's aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she'll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession-an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair . .

Meet the Author

Jodi Ellen Malpas was born and raised in the Midlands town of Northampton, UK, where she lives with her family. Working for the family construction business fulltime and with the prospect of taking it over once her father retired, she tried to ignore the lingering idea of writing a novel until it became impossible. She finally found the time and courage to release her creative streak and in October 2012 self-published This Man as an e-book. She took a chance on a story with some intense characters, notably Mr. Jesse Ward, the Lord of the Manor, and sparked incredible reactions from women all over the world. Two months later, Jodi made the decision to give up her day job to concentrate on her new and very unexpected career in writing.

I really wanted to like this book because I enjoyed her "This Man" trilogy but this was so unbelieveable and annoying.  I do give JEM credit for trying to create characters and situations that are different than the usual rich business man meets and falls for poor working girl.  M or Miller is a quirky sometilmes obnoxious character who knows what he wants.  Livy, on the other hand, is a character I love to hate.  She has some redeeming qualities such as loyalty to her friends and love for her grandmother but overall she is an immature, silly, stupid woman who puts herself into the most unbelieveable situations. Miller warns her that their 24 hour time together is only sexual but Livy tries to make it more than that early on and huffs out when her feelings get hurt because he doesn't share anything personal with her.  Miller pursues and when they get back together Livy tells him all her deep, dark secrets which shocks Miller but accepts what she has done.  But whe Livy finds out his secret, she turns into a spiteful, temper-tantrum throwing b**ch and can't forgive him even though she is supposed to love him.  What kind of love is it wherre you give up so easily without asking any questions as to WHY?  and it seems to be all about her.  With the way this book ended, it is obvious that Livy is going to continue her destructive and stupid ways for revenge.  Sorry JEM I won't be reading the rest of the trilogy.  I couldn't stomach the silliness and drama.

I don't even know what to say about this book, about this author

I don't even know what to say about this book, about this author. I loved This Man series, it is the only series I have read more than once
and now she has written this book and is is fantastic, I already know this series is a winner and will be another of my favorites. I love
Miller, he is hot, sexy, secretive, dominating, smooth, obsessive, and with a certain person he is so loving. I really enjoyed Livy, she is
sassy, loyal, funny, sweet, loving, and a tortured soul. I love the whole premise of this book, it is fascinating how Livy and Miller's life have
similarities that are not shown right away. I figured out Miller's secret pretty fast and I kept wondering when it would be revealed. Some
of my favorite parts to this story is when Miller and Livy have the conversation about broccoli, it made me laugh, there were many times
that they would do and say things when they were conversing back and forth that made me laugh, and Livy could come off with some
really funny things. I loved when Miller would always say to her things like "Savoured Livy, Never rushed" and "Let me taste you" but he
would say that when he wanted to kiss her, I loved it. But one of the best things in this book was when Miller liked to cuddle with her and
he called it his "thing" it was adorable and showed his vulnerability. I liked how we are treated to watching Miller's layers being pulled
away one at a time, letting us know him more each time. I did not like how Livy treated him after she found out some things about him,
yes I expected her to be mad, hurt even, but not act how she acted especially since he did not treat her like that when he found out about
her past, that was disappointing and what happened after that was so sad and heartbreaking. Then thinking that was how it was going to
end we are shocked by who Livy runs into in the lobby, how Miller reacts to this, and now there are all kinds of questions in our minds,
ugh November right???? lol loved it!!!!

Weak, annoying female character absolutely ruined this book. I cannot stand the thought of reading another book with her in it. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

Just like the other books Jodi Ellen Malpas writes, I soaked up each and every word. I can't wait for the next one to come out! I'm sad that I will have to wait so long for the ending!!! This book makes the characters come alive, and I felt every emotion they were going through as if I was personally living it. I love the writing style and everything about the book!

Altho I did read the other trilogy The Man all three books one right after the other, I won't be getting this one book at a time. I am tired of these stretching out of the books. I forget which books I am waiting to read. So even tho I love this author I am done reading and then never getting to see how it ends.

    Great book.

The first few chapters were a little slow for me which is why II gave it 4 starts. When I got to about the second or third chapter I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed this book. I hate having to wait for the next one to come out and if you can I would recommend waiting until the next book. :) I like to wait and read the whole series at one time. I know not always possible.

This book was a trip and I totally enjoyed it! I think it hit all my buttons emotion wise: sweet and swooney, sexy, intense, and heartbreaking.

I really liked Livy, a great foundation was laid for her from the start and I was pulled in. The details learned throughout were heartbreaking but they formed who she is. She was so contained in her own bubble and then she meets M. You see her getting stronger and stronger during the story, and I kept liking her more and more.

    M. This man is a crazy mystery of sexiness, sternness, and a stare that could melt. All the little details that emerged, how JEM described him, I could totally picture this intense man in my head. I kept asking myself so many questions, the main ones being, who in the heck is he? Why so secretive? There were hints of who he was and what he did and I was pretty sure I had it figured out half way through the story. I loved his moments of vulnerability, his challenging ways, and his quirks. I did like him a lot but he was a master at avoiding questions, sometimes I found that frustrating. I thought it was fantastic how Livy worked certain things out and challenged him.

I really enjoyed all the secondary characters and thought they played into the story nicely. Livy's nan was just fantastic. I want to hug this woman. She added the perfect amount of fun and entertainment to a story that contained drama and tension.

The ending had me on the edge of my seat, it was very intense. Livy finding out who M was and then their last encounter pretty much had me holding my breath. I love how right at the end, things from the prologue come back into play leaving us with a cliffhanger. Yes, cliffhanger. I expected it since it's book 1 in a trilogy. I am very much looking forward to the next book, One Night: Desired.

I thought the pacing was good, there was a nice, slow build throughout the story. There was a section in the last half where the back and forth of their relationship dragged a bit for me. I liked the sexy times, nice and hot but not overly done.

Overall I was totally into the story and absolutely enjoyed to. The right mix of drama, sexiness, and intensity.

    A Must Read

Livy & Miller's story is intense but will worth it. Can't wait for the second book due in November, I wish it were sooner.

I WISH I HEARD ABOUT THE SERIES MONTHS FROM NOW

I enjoyed this book so much more than THIS MAN TRILOGY so much so i wish i heard about in February when the last one comes out; so that i could read them all together. I loved M's struggle to be free with Livy. Once i was done i realized he really has been fighting it from the begging. I love when authors give me that "put the book down and walk away" moment and Jodi definitely provided it more than once. I really can't wait for the next two books. At first i compared them to Gideon and Eva but they definitely stand on their own. Well done, ma'am.
