Yet there's more to Lauren than meets the eye, and Tate soon sets his mind on claiming her as his own. Before long, the desire burning between them is heating up the cold mountain air. Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake.

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

    Loved this story

I really enjoyed the characters in this book and that the author let me watch them grow. Some of the story stagnated, but the end was worth it. I would so totally live in the world kristen ashley created. Makes me want to pack up and find my own Carnal somewhere.

    Another winner!

How refreshing. I read the 1st in the series. The Gamble and fell in love with the story writing. I was not disappointed in Sweet Dreams. Fun characters and sexy sexy Tate makes me want to be a biker babe. I love how the author tells the story from only Laurens view. Its nice not bouncing from character to character as most love stories do. This story is like watching my favorite series with her very detailed story telling. Over 1400 pages of sexy fun. I wish she would continue the story with some of the other characters like Wood. Can't wait to read the next.

    very good!

The story, although long and some parts unnecessary, is well thought out. I got bored having to read about every detail of her outfit and things like that. I also got very frustrated with the way every sentence seemed to be missing a critical word in it. I know that you want to give your characters their own twist, but the majority of people in the world wouldn't skip a word, making almost every time they opened their mouth an incomplete sentence, so it got very annoying. But the characters were pretty solid and the surrounding storyline was very good.

This is my first KA book. I didn't particularly enjoy her style

This is my first KA book. I didn't particularly enjoy her style of writing, so instead of a few hours, it took me about 3 days to get through the 400 pages of this book. I'm going to try another of her books, just to be fair in my judgement.

Good read - 494 pages but WAY too much explicit sex - very unnecessary

Sweet Dreams is the second book in the Colorado Mountain Series

Sweet Dreams is the second book in the Colorado Mountain Series by Kristen Ashley. I LOVED this book. Tate has definitely made the list of my top KA alphas. That man was H.O.T.

I was in a serious book funk and needed something to get me out of it... enter Kristen Ashley. Always a life saver when it comes to a needed five star book. At first I was worried because our main characters are older in age with our heroine being 42. Normally I find books with older characters harder to get into to. They usually deal with things like older children, custody etc, things I just have a hard time connecting with. But connecting to the characters was NOT a problem in this book. I had no problem rooting for our amazing heroine, Lauren and I completely fell in love with Tate, our hero.

Of course Tate doesn't start out all wonderful... the best ones never do right? Tate is an a$$ at first. To the point I was worried I'd never be able to fall for him; thankfully, he gets his stuff together. But of course in true man fashion he messes it up again before solidifying my love for him. What is it with my need for an alpha to break my heart before I can fully nominate them for the Book boyfriend list?

Lauren was a hilarious heroine, as so many KA heroines are. I kind of loved her. I thought we had a connection. Lauren's inner thoughts regarding the life threatening snag in the carpet mirror so many crazy thoughts I've had myself. Lauren was the perfect blend of heroine. Smart, sassy, kick butt, resilient, strong minded, everything I need.

Sweet Dreams is a pretty standard KA novel, but there is a bit where it gets a little graphic and dark. I can see how some readers might not connect with that as much, but for me it just made the read that much better. You know how I love my dark stuff. Really it's not that dark at all, don't let that comment scare you away from reading this book.

All in all I just loved this book. I know this review has been gushy, but it's because I really don't have anything bad to say. I am loving this series so far and I think everyone needs to read it.

I have to say that I absolutely love Kristen Ashley books.  I've not had the opportunity to read that many yet, but definitely plan to read them all.  The few I have read, I've loved, and Sweet Dreams fell right into that category.  The book is long, but definitely not boring and kept my attention from beginning to end, and in fact I really enjoyed the length of the book because to me, it was that good.  The story itself was exciting, captivating, and everything I love in a romance novel and then some.

I loved the characters, Tate and Laurie, but I must say that Tate had to grow on me, but my friend and fellow blogger Andrea had already warned me to be patient with him, and I ended up loving him.  The cast of secondary characters were also really great and I enjoyed them also.  I loved the romance, which Kristen Ashley does so well.  Overall, Sweet Dreams is a wonderful contemporary romance that fans of this genre will love.  If you are a Kristen Ashley fan, then you will definitely want to check this out, and if not, this is one author you will want to make time for.

    Not impressed

I really wanted to enjoy a swift chic lit book and unfortunately this one didn't hit the mark. I felt some chapters were so long and filled with unnecessary fluff. Our hero, biker bounty hunter Tate, lost his likeness when he becomes controlling over our lead female too often. Along with cussing in front of and to his son annoying. If bikers really do that, then my guess is this line of literature isnt their genre. But, I did find the journey of Laurie from post divorce life into finding new love in this small town enjoyable enough.
