Have you ever been to a party at a friend's house... like Pampered Chef, Passion Parties, Creative Memories, etc? You go to support your friend but to also have a good time and buy some fun stuff.
Except... most of the time... no matter how much you MIGHT have enjoyed parts of it... you are totally turned off by the incessant sales pitch given by the sales rep. Host a party! Be a consultant! Buy! Buy! Buy!
That's a little like what this book felt like.
There was really barely anything added to the actual storyline. Instead there was some rather redundant story lines for Rush and Blaire... and then their future together seems kind of like an afterthought. Because INSTEAD... suddenly there is chapter upon chapter leading in to her other books she has coming out - that have absolutely nothing to do with Rush and Blaire at all.
Then there was the sudden break in the story to advertise in HUGE BOLD PRINT that she'd had Rush's song recorded and that it's on sale. I have no words for how tacky that was. No words.
The book really felt like one long advertisement for other books. Oh.. and yes.. the song. Can't forget the song. : /

This book was written because the fan's asked for it...Rush and Blaire's story was supposed to be over with Never Too Far. I was one who felt like it ended very abruptly and we didn't get to see their wedding and having their son. The purpose of this book was to give FANS the happily-ever-after that we craved. I LOVED the book. I loved that it ties in to Simple Perfection and Grant's book coming out, so you already feel a bit invested in their stories. Who cares where the ad for the song was located, whether it was in the middle of the book or the end?!? What difference does that make? It has nothing to do with the story. For those who say nothing happened in this book...um, hello?!? SPOILER ALERT...wedding, baby, half-brother, drug overdose, gun-pointing, meeting Kiro, Dean, Harlow, Captain?? What book were YOU reading? Well done, Abbi. I can't wait for whatever else you have to say about this cast of characters.

Everytime you read a book from Abbi Glines you think "this book cannot be better than the last" and every time you finish one if her books she just keeps getting better and better. Her stories are so real and you get drawn into whatever world she has created. She truly gave us the good bye that Rush, Blaire and us as the readers deserved. I have never read a book so fast and this is the best book that has ever graced my nook. So stop debating with yourself and buy this series. You won't regret it.

Didn't this story end with the last book? What the heck else do we need to hear about this couple? Sick of the eight books to finish what should be in one novel.

Felt more like a lead in to other books about the other characters. Also felt.laden with curse words and too much sex. I found myself skipping alot of the sex. Also the main issue with rush always running when Nan needed him felt unresolved. I also ended up disliking both of the main characters even though i liked them in the two other novels.

First i want to thank Abbi Glines for giving us a third installment of Rush and Blair! Two just was not enough! (neither was 3 but lets not go there yet!)
So lets just get the bad news over with already. Old habits die hard! Nan running her mouth to Blair, (and everyone else in the room) Blair sticking up for herself, Nan throwing a temper tantrum, Rush running to Nan's side. WHEN WILL THIS END?? i really didn't expect the same ol same ol in this book! I thought Rush had finally come to his senses in book 2, why are we dealing with this in book 3???
Grant & Harlow I already know i am going to love and fall into your story (which we all already know is coming soon) BUT i did not need you in Blaire and Rush's book! I appreciate that I will now know how you meet and how the connection was formed but I did not want to hear/see/read it in this book. Especially during the wedding! I feel like it took key moments away from B&R.
Woods & Della I fell in love with you guys in book 1 and i am looking forward to book 2, and i appreciate that you (and all of Glines other characters) make small appearances but i feel like they overshadowed the ending in this book.
So for those reasons alone I wanted to rate this book only 3 stars but you know i cant do that for a Rush book! And i also cant end on negatives.
Now Rush may have been a jackass in LA but he more then made up for it when they were back in Rosemary. He is every women's dream pregnant or not. I am so happy he finally sang and played for Blair (view spoiler)
There were also some wonderful surprises in this book. Dean (Rush's dad) being one of them. He exceeded my expectations of "rockstar dad." Blair's dad Abe, i am so happy how that turned out, and i am very interested in Captain! (hint hint!!!)
I want to say that i am sad that this is over HOWEVER after how much some of the other characters got in this book I really hope we will be seeing a lot more of Rush and Blair to come!

Loved it! Abbi your books dont disappoint. Cant wait for Simple Perfection to have more Woods and Delia! Great end to Rush and Blaire!! I so hope Grant and Harlow get together and get a book or two!

Ummm yea... note to Abbi, next time you ask readers to buy a song that you just throw in the middle of your book, how about keep it at the end... putting that right in the middle was kind of trashy!

Because of the new cover I accidentally purchased this book twice thinking it was another take on same story. Why do authors change covers? I still love the series and have read all of them that have come out thus far, it just gets confusing when they change the look of the cover and fool us into thinking its a different book. Guess I need to pay better attention, I've read all of Abbi Glines Books!
