Overview

Beloved for contemporary romance novels that "deliver laughter, tears, and so much joy," (RT Book Reviews), JoAnn Ross expands her wildly popular New York Times bestselling Shelter Bay series to southern Oregon ranching country, home to three sexy Murphy brothers and the strong, passionate women who fall in love them.

Welcome to River's Bend - Oregon's most western town where spurs have a job to do and cowboy hats aren't a fashion accessory.

Rachel Hathaway was living a fairy tale when she learned the hard way that fairy tales never warn you that the prince could die of a perforated ulcer, the creditors could end up with the castle, and it could be back to the ashes for Cinderella. With her storybook marriage shattered, Rachel vows to never, ever, risk her heart again.

No stranger to personal tragedy, Sheriff Cooper Murphy knows about starting over. When Rachel arrives in River's Bend to begin a new life with her young son, he realizes that the love-shy single mother is just the woman he's been waiting for. Although he wants to throw her over his shoulder and carry her off into the western sunset, Cooper knows that he'll have to be patient, move slow, if he wants to convince Rachel to believe in their own Happily Ever After.

Revised, expanded "author's edition" of Murphy's Law.

JoAnn Ross delivers another emotional and delightfully funny story in River's Bend.

Rachel Hathaway thought she was leaving the perfect life but come to find out that it was all smoke and mirrors.  When her husband died suddenly she was left with a young son to raise and bills coming out of the woodwork.  A chance notice in the paper for a restaurant for sale has her packing everything up and moving Oregon to start over.

Sherriff Cooper Murphy has known his own share of heartache. His first meeting of the young widow has Cooper seeing a kindred spirit.  As luck would have it he has to tell her dream of reopening the restaurant has been set back by a fire that nearly destroyed the place. He convinces Rachel to stay and rallies the town folks to help Rachel achieve her dream.

Although the restaurant is slowly taking shape, the connection between Rachel and Cooper is burning hot and heavy.  Rachel is so scared to let her heart open she risks the chance of happiness with Cooper. When a situation puts Cooper in danger, Rachel realizes she can't keep hidden her feelings any longer.

River's Bend is a moving story filled with strong emotions. Second chances are rare and both Cooper and Rachel soon realize this to be true. The chemistry between Cooper and Rachel is filled with depth and sizzling passion.  JoAnn Ross's books are must buys for me and I am looking forward to the next book in this new series.¿
