When rocker boy Paddy Hurley runs into his old flame Natalie Clayton at a coffee shop in his hometown, he’s immediately intrigued, while she pretends not to know who he is. But when he starts showing up every morning to ask her out, she finally relents. Long on fluff and short on tension, this bloated romance from Dane (Unconditional) is a font of exposition following two exceptionally gorgeous, independently wealthy people—who nonetheless are humble, hardworking, and down-to-earth—as they meet, have copious sex, fall in love, and, after one brief road bump, live happily ever after. What the novel lacks in drama it makes up for in overly descriptive and repetitive passages, and the dialogue feels as if the characters are reading stiffly from cue cards. It really didn't matter that the day was sure to be hot enough to melt asphalt; coffee was a necessity if she was expected to work all day at the library and not maim anyone.

Public safety was important, after all. That and her terrible addiction to things that were bad for her like caffeine and sugary baked goods.

Common Grounds was a daily stop on her way to work or other errands in town.

Bobbi was behind the counter, and when she caught sight of Natalie coming through the doors, she grinned. "Morning!" So. Perky.

Perky was not in Natalie's wheelhouse, so she aimed for amiable because Bobbi the barista was Natalie's pimp. "Morning. Hit me with something awesome."

Another luminous smile from Natalie's favorite barista as she got to work. "I have a new something to try. Are you game?"

"My vices are few, so I like to enjoy what I've got." She looked over the stuff in the case. There were no doughnuts, sadly, so a scone would have to do. "I'd like to enter into a relationship with that cinnamon scone there to go with my something new."

"It's early for you, isn't it? I thought the library didn't open until ten today?"

"It doesn't, but I'm doing story time for some preschoolers."

"Aw, that's nice of you."

Natalie had the financial ability to volunteer in her free time and a strong commitment to giving back, so reading to preschoolers once or twice a week was pretty fun as such things went.

Bobbi handed over the bag with the scone and her drink. "Latte with orange essence and a little shaved chocolate. Tell me what you think."

"Sounds fantastic." As for nice for reading books to kids? "It's a good thing when children like to read. Plus, they're adorable when they're three and four. They blurt out the best stuff. Usually shit about their parents. Last week, right as I finished up Fancy Nancy, one of them pipes up and says, 'my dad doesn't wear pants on weekends.' It was awesome."

Bobbi laughed. "My nephew's like that. My sister says she and her husband have to be careful about stuff they say now because he told his kindergarten class that he walked in on mom and dad naked wrestling."

That made Natalie guffaw. "It's pretty hilarious when it's other people's kids ratting them out."

"Yeah. Our time will… Oh…my." Bobbi's gaze seemed to blur as she gaped in the direction of the front door, and that was when Natalie heard his voice.

Not for the first time.

"Care to help out a man in dire need of some caffeine?"

She couldn't help it. Natalie turned to take in the ridiculous male glory that was Paddy Hurley. In jeans and a T-shirt, he still looked like a rock star. Though she'd seen him naked, and he looked like a rock star then, too.

His dark brown hair had lightened up, probably from being out in the sunshine. He'd put his sunglasses on top of his head, so those big hazel eyes fringed by gorgeous, thick sooty lashes had extra impact.

Impact that made Natalie's heart beat faster and her face warm as she remembered some of the things they'd done together. To each other. Dirty, filthy, naked things. Really good things the mere memory of had her libido sitting up and panting over.

Bobbi was entranced by him as she stood at the counter, blinking slowly, clearly caught up in her admiration. He kept smiling, as if he was totally used to that sort of attention. Of course he was.

"Can I get an iced coffee and a slice of that blueberry loaf for here?" He changed his tone a little from that flirty drawl to something more direct, and it seemed to do the trick.

Bobbi stood a little taller and cleared her throat. "Uh. Yeah. Sorry. Yes, of course."

"Thanks." He grinned, all white teeth and work-in-the-sun glow. Good God, he was beautiful.

"I'll bring it out when I'm done." Bobbi got to work but waggled her brows at Natalie, mouthing holy shit, it's Paddy Hurley.

Natalie tried to turn quickly and make an exit, but he'd caught the direction of Bobbi's look, and she saw the moment he recognized her, too.

"Hey, there. Wow." He searched for her name, which was what allowed her to pull her mask on and pretend she had no idea who he was.

"Hello." She turned to Bobbi. "See you tomorrow!" Natalie put the lid back on her cup and gathered her things, but Paddy stepped closer.

"Natalie, right? You worked at that dive bar attached to the bowling alley near Portland." A lifetime before.

"Sorry?" She cocked her head as if she had no idea he was talking about the two weeks they'd spent nailing each other as though sex was going to be outlawed any moment.

"It's Paddy Hurley. I'd know that mouth anywhere." He said it quietly. Enough that she appreciated his discretion.

That Natalie stayed in the dive bar. The Natalie she was now had risen from the ashes while she was in college, and she rarely looked back if she could help it. Paddy Hurley and those two weeks they'd shared were a great memory, especially the naked part. But she'd spent too many years and a whole lot of effort to be more and had no desire to go digging up that lifetime again.

"Nice to meet you, Paddy. I enjoy your music. I need to be on my way." She reached for the door, and he searched her features and shook his head as if he couldn't believe what was happening. Which was sort of charming, and she had to remind her hormones sternly to back off and let her brain do the work.

But he rallied. "I know it's you. Stay and have coffee with me so we can catch up."

"I have to get to work." She opened the door, nudging him out of the way a little as she did. The heat of the day greeted her, and she stepped out, covered her eyes with her shades and walked away.

The past was the past. She had a life now. One she'd spent a lot of time and energy building, and she needed to keep the door on who she'd once been firmly closed.

Even if it left a tasty bit like Paddy Hurley on the other side.

Paddy watched her retreat down the sidewalk, the hem of her skirt swishing back and forth, exposing the backs of her thighs. Thighs that had been wrapped around his hips more than once.

She had tattoos, matching ones, at the top of each thigh, right under each ass cheek. Pretty red bows like at the top of stockings. He smiled at that memory.

"Her name is Natalie, right?" he asked the barista when she brought him the coffee and pastry.

"Yeah. You know her?"

"She lives here in town?" He sipped his drink. He and his brothers had gone out for an early ride so he was hot and a little sleepy. The iced coffee helped with both.

"Sure. Works at the library. Comes in every morning before work to get coffee. Well, except Monday because the library is closed on Mondays. She's single. You know, if you were asking because you thought she was pretty."

He gave the barista a smile. He did indeed think Natalie was pretty. Her hair was short now where it had been long years before. He normally loved a woman with long hair, but on her that pixie thing worked. She had a great neck.

A great everything. She'd kept up with him on every level. They partied hard, fucked hard, worked hard. He and the band his brothers had formed, Sweet Hollow Ranch, had had a series of gigs at dives all over Portland and Southwest Washington. They'd managed to get two crappy hotel rooms included as part of their pay.

The motel had been right behind a bowling alley and the shithole of a bar attached to it. Natalie had been a waitress there, slinging drinks and dodging overeager hands when he'd met her.

It had been a matter of hours after meeting—the chemistry so instant and thick between them—until they'd stumbled into her studio apartment and into her bed.

She'd been underage, as had he, but they'd spent the next two weeks together around her shifts at the bar and his gigs.

And then he'd gone on the road, and she'd gone off to college. He'd thought of her over the years. One of their songs, "Dive Bar," had been about her and those two weeks.

Turns out she lived in the same town. Which meant it was fate. He continued to smile after he'd thanked the barista.

Why she'd pretended not to know him was the question. She had her reasons, and he aimed to know them, too. The woman behind the counter said Natalie was single, so it wasn't a boyfriend.

Paddy hadn't achieved the success he had because he gave up when things got hard.

He'd simply keep at it.

He leaned back in his chair and watched the street outside as he drank his coffee. A new challenge was always fun. Especially when it concerned a pretty blonde with long legs and a smile that invited a man to sin and not repent.

"You remember that shithole of a bar we hung out in just outside Portland?" Paddy handed a coil of rope to his oldest brother, Ezra.

"Dude, you've got to be more specific than that. There are dozens upon dozens of shithole bars I remember. More I don't." Ezra snorted as he hung the rope up on a hook just inside the stable door.

Paddy laughed. It had been fifteen years since they'd started out, and that particular shithole bar had been at least a dozen years before. "Back at the beginning. Right before we headed to L.A. and made the first record with the label. The bar was next to a bowling alley. We had two rooms in that rattrap of a motel that was behind it."

"Ah! Yes, I do remember that one. Damien got his ass jumped by those cowboys who heckled us and waited for him after the show."

"Then we all jumped in, and you got arrested."

"Wasn't the last time."

"And now you have pigs and dogs, and you only beat on your brothers."

"I'm too old to beat up anyone but you people. Plus, I have great hands. Why you taking me down memory lane?"

"There was a girl."

Ezra barked a laugh. "Yeah, well, you'll have to be more specific with that, too. Even more of them than shithole dive bars."

"Natalie. Long blond hair. Big blue eyes. Dimples. Juicy mouth. She worked in the bar. We had a thing. Hot, hard, fast, for two weeks before we left for L.A."

"Hmm, sounds familiar, but, Paddy, you have a thing for blondes. There are stories like that from coast to coast and across Europe. They all run together after a time."

"I do have a really fucking awesome life."

Ezra rolled his eyes. "Does this story have a point?"

"She's here. In town, I mean. This morning after our ride, I went down to get some coffee. She was there. At the counter. Hair is short now, but it exposes her neck."

Ezra hummed his approval as he put things away.

"She's a librarian."

Ezra's brows rose appreciatively. "Well, now."

"Right? But she pretended she didn't remember me."

Ezra turned and then laughed so hard he had to brace his hands on his knees. "Man, I wish I'd have seen your face when that happened," Ezra choked out in between fits of laughter. "I love how your ego paints it like she pretended not to know you instead of her just not remembering."

"Har har. She remembered me. There's no way she forgot it. It wasn't a night or two. It was two really intense weeks. Plus, asshole, I'm unforgettable. Anyway, she didn't deny knowing me. She just stepped around admitting knowing me. I know the difference."

Ezra stood up, wiping his eyes and settling down a little. "Thanks for that. Totally made my day."

"I'm asking you for advice. You give Damien advice all the time."

"He's an idiot. He needs it more than you do," Ezra said, referring to one of their brothers, the drummer of Sweet Hollow Ranch.

"Yeah, there is that."

"Okay, so hit me. What advice do you want? How to deal with the blow to your ego? Suck it up and move on. So what? There have to be dozens upon dozens of women who feel the same way about you, Paddy. You dumped her, and she does not have fond memories. You're lucky she didn't knee you in the gooch."

"I didn't dump her! It was fall, she was heading off to college and we were on the road. It was fine. No tears. No drama." He ran a hand through his hair. "I liked her. I liked her then, and I want to know if I'd like her now."

Ezra looked him over carefully as they left the stables. "So you want to what? Be this woman's friend? See if she wants another turn in the sheets with you? This is your hometown, Paddy. Don't shit where you sleep. If you charm her out of her panties and then it goes bad, then what? Do you really want some pissed-off ex-girlfriend who knows where you live?"

Paddy made a face. "It's not like that. I can't believe I haven't bumped into her before now. It's not like Hood River is a bustling metropolis."

"Yeah, well, you've been out on multiple tours in a row and traveling in between."

"True. Anyway, I don't just want to nail her, though she's gorgeous and all. Like I said, I want to see if we still click."

"Cut the shit. You're into it because it's a challenge."

Paddy sucked in a breath. "Okay, so maybe that's part of it. But not all of it."

"For whatever reason, you have an unhealthy level of self-confidence. You're okay-looking and all. Chicks dig you, and you hate to lose. So go for it, but don't be a dick."

Which, come to think of it, was pretty good advice.

Natalie walked into Common Grounds with a spring in her step. She'd had a really great dinner with her housemate and best friend the night before. They'd watched a movie, and she'd gotten eight solid hours of really good sleep.

It was sunny, a breeze came in off the Columbia and she was well and truly prepared for an excellent Friday.

She waved a hello at Bobbi. "Good morning! I think I'd like an Americano today with lots of room. What sorts of delicious, calorie-packed goodness do you have left in the case?"

Bobbi looked over to her left. "See, like clockwork."

Natalie followed her gaze and nearly jumped when she saw Paddy Hurley sitting there with a grin on his face. The muted sunlight from the window he sat next to danced over his skin. Jesus H, he looked fantastic, his long legs stretched out, the denim straining at the thighs and over his crotch.

He packed quite a treat behind his zipper. Her belly and regions south tightened at that memory.

She snapped her gaze from his cock and tried not to blush.

"Have a seat." He pushed the chair across from him away from the table with one booted foot. Not cowboy boots, worn work boots she figured cost more than she made in a month.

She wanted to go over and sit. Wanted to flirt and chat and let it lead right back to her place. Something about the man had gotten under her skin right from go. He was dangerous. Wanting too much was dangerous.

"I have to go to work." With sheer force of will, Natalie turned her attention back to the bakery case.

Bobbi gave her a single raised brow but then got started on the Americano. The sounds and scent of the coffee-laden steam settled Natalie a little. "Ooh, I want one of those banana chocolate chip muffin things."

"Here's the thing, Natalie." Suddenly, Paddy was standing very close. How had he done that? "That muffin is on hold. I'm a nice guy, though, so I'll happily let you have it if you'll sit and have coffee with me while we catch up."

    3.5 stars--THE BEST KIND OF TROUBLE is the first book in Lauren Dane’s new, adult, contemporary The Hurley Boys erotic romance series focusing the members of the rock group Sweet Hollow Ranch. This is Patrick “Paddy” Hurley and Natalie Clayton’s storyline-a somewhat second chance at love storyline for two people who have reconnected over coffee and home town life in Hood River.
    Told from third person POV the premise focuses on the building relationship between Natalie –the Hood River librarian- and bad boy rocker and lead singer of Sweet Hollow Ranch, and home town phenom Paddy Hurley. Paddy and Natalie had spent two sex filled weeks together before the band made it big and reconnecting years later with Natalie (back in his home town) rekindles all kinds of emotions and needs in Paddy. He is a man possessed to claim Natalie as his own but Natalie has many reasons to not accept and refuse Paddy in her life. 
    Natalie is a product of her past. Destroyed by the actions of her parents, Natalie is not very forthcoming with Paddy. She is a woman with a history that continues to control her present and in this her actions and responses to Paddy were questionable on many levels. Natalie is quick to judge; quick to assume; and quick to run when the going gets tough-not that Paddy didn’t have some demons of his own.
    Paddy lived the rock and roll life style-drugs, alcohol and women-but he has left that all behind. As he and his brothers prepare for their upcoming tour, he will begin to fall in love with a woman whose past will eventually come crashing back and into Sweet Hollow Ranch’s path. Paddy is a man who believes he should be the one to rescue and save the woman that he loves-but when he believes someone has interfered his reactions are so out of character I wondered what I had missed early in the storyline.
    The secondary characters include the Hurley Boys-Damien, Ezra and Vaughan, as well as their parents-Michael and Sharon Hurley. We get a glimpse into a loving family unit that has weathered a few dark times throughout the band’s rise to fame. We are also introduced to Natalie’s former college friends and besties, including her room mate Tuesday whose story will be told when Ezra finds the woman that saves his soul.
    The world building takes the reader from the past to the present; from family dysfunction to family unity; from friendship to love. We are pulled into a story where four brothers have made it big in the world of rock and roll but with it comes all of the perks and problems that one could imagine.
    Lauren Dane writes a story of family love, troubled pasts and moving on. I did have a few issues with the jumpy feel of the story; the focus seem to scatter on occasion as though there something was missing.  I also had a difficult time with some of the reasoning and issues our leading couple allowed to bleed into their lives. Small things seem to set them off, yet bigger issues were brushed aside as expected and not unforeseen which added to the already uneasy feel of the story.
    THE BEST KIND OF TROUBLE introduces four brothers whose lives have changed and are about to change once again. It is a story that show some of the seedier side of rock and roll, as well as the promise of greater things to come. Everyone needs a rock; an anchor; a soul mate; and The Hurley Boys series will find each of the members of Sweet Hollow Ranch find their Happily Ever After.

    Once again Lauren Dane writes a winner! I love these characters! I can't wait to read the next Hurley boy book!

    Holy mother of.....this book has some pretty hot and spicy scene

    Holy mother of.....this book has some pretty hot and spicy scenes! It's a book about second chances and new found love and of course, rock 'n roll. It was interesting getting to know the Hurley boys and get a peek at life off the road for rock stars who also happen to be pretty down-to-earth guys. I loved the scenes of all the brothers together and seeing them just be family. Paddy is just your average sexy as sin rock god who falls for the town librarian and gets her to fall for him, too. Not that it would be hard to fall for him, mind you, but when he has three other sexy brothers around it would be hard not to feel overwhelmed. I loved the chemistry between Paddy and Natalie and can't wait for the next book in the series so we'll be able to see little peeks of them while simultaneously watching Ezra and Tuesday fall all over themselves.

    I've mixed feelings about this book. The romance side works well, but overall it was a little lacking in drama for me until the big split. The background too – the rock and roll part, well – I expected that to take a more major role. I guess i've been reading too many NA high drama rock stories :-)
    This is first in a trio of books featuring the Hurley brothers, who are the stars in a leading rock band. They're a close knit family, all living on the family ranch, though in seperate houses. Paddy, as lead singer is the charmer in the family and he's used to girls falling at his feet. Then he sees Natalie, in his home town on a break from touring. He's never forgotten the sensual and hot two weeks they had many years ago, before the band made it big. He wants to see if they can pick up. Natalie has had her own problems though and the last thing she needs is to have somone like Paddy sapping away at her hard won control. He's persistent though, and its not long before he finally wears her down. There's a lot to be dealt with though on both sides before they can get to a HEA.
    I liked Paddy – well, who couldn't. He has a great family too, and the next book about brother Ezra sounds good – he will make an interesting lead I think! Paddy is just so sweet, so good, so charming ( ok there's the hundreds of women but that part of the lifestyle for some so I'll get past that!) that he just feels to me a little...bland? I wanted a bit more excitement from him, more action and reaction. He gets there finally, but of course that when the problems start. Poor guy, I'm not giving him much of a break am I? Then there's Natalie. Her background comes out slowly and its pretty bad, not in a typical physical way, but certainly she didn't have a good start in life and was let down by those who should have looked after her. She's now very tightly in control of her life, has her home and work, a good friend in the wonderful Tuesday and the others from her college days. We meet some of them briefly, and also of course the rest of Paddy's family. It makes for a gentle, easy to read novel, some sensual and erotic moments in among a light romance story. I enjoyed it, but I'd need more drama for me to love it. It's a fun one off for me, but for those who like light and gentle it'll be perfect.
    Stars: three – it's a good book, well written, well characterised but just a little too light for me to rate higher.

    Paddy and Natalie had a past but when their worlds collide once more their lives are at much different places. Paddy and Natalie’s “hook up” was a two week affair while Natalie was still running wild and Paddy was a rock star. Natalie was the one girl he couldn’t forget. When he runs into her at the coffee shop in his hometown Natalie plays it off like she doesn’t know who he is. Intrigued Paddy pursues Natalie and discovers she has built a new life for herself as the town librarian leaving the party girl behind. 




    The attraction from years gone by hasn’t diminished and grows fast and furriest. But when Paddy must return to touring, it puts an unexpected pull on their newly established relationship…”Pushing Buttons”.




    I really enjoyed The Best Kind of Trouble. I did find it a bit repetitive; I don’t think so many people would have referred to personal issues as buttons. But boy did Natalie and Paddy both had their buttons. 




    Natalie was a strong woman, a woman that could stand on her own two feet and not need someone to pull her along but she had some major family issues. 




    Paddy was a great family guy, so when Natalie finally ran to him for help his reaction seemed out of character and didn’t work for me.




    The romance was fun with just the right amount of sizzle to get your pulse going. In the end, I give The Best Kind of Trouble 3.5 Stars for being an enjoyable and entertaining read.

    Love this world

    I was so looking forward to this book and yes it was worth the wait....I love these characters and this world ....it works well as a stand alone but is a great add to the Brown and Tart series ....the writng is superb and I can't wait till Dec for the next story

    The Best Kind of Trouble is the awesome start of Lauren Dane's newest series The Hurley Boys featuring the Hurley brothers who make up the rock band Sweet Hollow Ranch.

    Paddy is surprised to run into Natalie at the local coffee shop one morning. Natalie is the woman he had a quick, hot fling with many years ago before she went to college and his band hit the big time. She pretends to not remember and he is even more intrigued when he finds out his former wild lover is now the small town librarian. He is definitely a hero in pursuit and Lauren Dane does such a good job of writing a hero who isn't afraid to pursue the heroine.

    Natalie lives a very controlled life in order to deal with her painful childhood and her addict father who tends to pop back up in her life unexpectedly. She is wary of Paddy and his rocker lifestyle. But she finally agrees to a date and it is impossible to resist the charm of Paddy. They begin a sexy relationship but face many obstacles as the time approaches for Paddy's band to go back out on the road and Natalie's Dad returns to make trouble.

    This was a great read that is very character-driven. The characters act like adults and treat each other with kindness and respect. The heroine is strong and smart and the hero is sexy and hard to resist. Lauren Dane writes great family stories and weaves the characters together in a blend between family members and friends. There are hints of the next romance between Paddy's brother Ezra and Natalie's best friend Tuesday and I can't wait to read their book!

    If you love a good contemporary romance with spicy sex scenes and characters who work through their differences, The Best Kind of Trouble is a must-read!

    12 long years have passed since the 2 week hookup that Natalie shared with Patrick Hurley, years in which she focused her efforts on going to college and fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a librarian. Now living in a restored Victorian with her best friend Tuesday, Natalie loves the small town of Hood River Oregon, her job as librarian, her community volunteering and has resigned herself to living a calm and orderly life in which she limits the people she surrounds herself with to co-workers and her best friend Tuesday.




    Patrick “Paddy” Hurley and his three brothers, Damien-Ezra and Vaughn meanwhile have taken their rock band “Sweet Hollow Ranch” to the top of the music business while remaining in Hood River unless they are promoting or touring new music. Having met the boys previously in Lush-Delicious #3 , which is the story of Damien and his wife Mary Whaley, it felt great to learn more about the Hurley’s and to be able to enjoy Paddy and Natalie’s turbulent romance with all it’s ups and downs as they managed to build a lasting relationship despite having so many reservations caused by events in each other’s pasts!




    This was a down and dirty read that pushed ones emotional buttons on so many levels also and I loved the way in which Natalie and Paddy both learned how to let go and trust each other, even when it was obviously hard to do so. 




    4 brothers who are part of a world famous rock group but who shun the limelight unless on tour, this was a very heartfelt family oriented story that will make you choke up every once in a while and also make you laugh at all the joyful triumphs that the characters manage to share through it's pages!




    I have been a fan of the works of Lauren Dane for a long time and this book has all her best qualities of bringing to life on the pages of a book people and places that we would all like to be a part of.

    Nat is a librarian in the quiet town of Hood River and Paddy is a Rock'n'Roll Superstar.

    But 12 years ago Natalie was a 19-year-old waitress and Paddy was trying to make a living with his brothers and their band Sweet Hollow Ranch.
    Natalie and Patrick had a very intense and erotic 2-week 'affair' but then she went off to college and he and his brothers went off to LA to record their first album.

    Fast forward 12 years. Paddy is a world famous rock star and Nat has left her wild days behind and is now a librarian in Paddy's hometown!

    As soon as Patrick sees her buying her daily drugs - aka COFFEE - he's fascinated again.
    He never forgot her - of course there were a million girls between then and now - but now he's back home for a while and he wants to see what could happen between the two of them - again.

    Natalie isn't all that happy about Paddy's flirting - she thinks she doesn't want the complications that come with being with a rock star - she's just a quiet librarian now - not this wild girl she used to be.

    And then there's her less than happy past - with her addict of a Dad and her rich grandmother.
    She doesn't want to be reminded of her life growing up in the middle of a house full of drugs.

    But Paddy proves to be very persistent in his wooing....and she agrees to go on a date.

    They start something pretty serious - and it all moves along really nice and problem-free.

    With Patrick she seems to be able to let go - let go of her constant need to control every aspect of her life.

    But Nat's past keeps getting in their way.
    Thanks to her Dad, she can't take it if people around her get drunk....and Paddy - being a rockstar and all - there might be some alcohol here and there. But he's not an alcholic - he knows what addiction can do to a family because Ezra is/was an addict. (his brother Ezra's & Tuesday's story will be book #2 in the series!!!)

    SUCH AN ADORABLE ROMANCE!!!!!

    When I read the word ROCKSTAR in the blurb, I knew this book had to be read asap!

    I just love rockstar romances - and Navy SEAL and CEO romances - pfff I love them all - but I REALLY love ROCKSTARS!!!

    Nat & Patricks's story was really sweet and full of funny scenes and moving scenes and yes, of course - lots of sexy and romantic scenes!!

    It was such a sweet romance - everything about it was perfect. The whole Hurley family for one. I would sooo love to be part of this crazy family! They're all so funny and cute and nice - plus, most of them are ROCKSTARS!!!!¿¿¿

    Then we have Natalie with all her fears - she never wants to go back to the way she had to live as a kid - having to clean up after someone, taking care of someone who doesn't want to or doesn't deserve to be taken care of. She just wants to keep on living her quiet and nice life.
    But now she's with a rockstar....things might not always be quiet and nice anymore.
    Is it worth it???
    I would say HELL YES - but I didn't grow up the way Natalie did.....but maybe/hopefully Paddy can help her through all her fears ...... ♥

    When I started reading I was kinda expecting something different - something more exciting, or more ...hm no idea - more suspensy maybe.
    But the book just flows along like one of those 90's rock ballads - maybe NOVEMBER RAIN by Guns'n'Roses... I really have no idea what I mean though¿ Maybe when I read the words ROCK STAR in the blurb - I kind of expected the book to be like SEX ON FIRE by Kings of Leon, but like I said, it's more of a long and slow ballad....BUT - that doesn't mean that I didn't love it - I totally did.
    The only things that bothered me a bit were the overuse of ALSO and PLUS at the beginning of a sentence... I could live with one person doing that - but they all say it ¿
    And the sex - while nice and sexy - I would've enjoyed it a bit sexier and dirtier - they even call it dirty all the time, but it's not dirty at all!

    But all in all.....

    THE BEST KIND OF TROUBLE - was a beautiful & adorably sexy Rockstar-Romance! You'll love Nat & Patrick!!!!!

    I would totally sit in front of a TV every week if someone would make a tv-series out of this amazing Hurley Family!!!! Fangirling at rockstars every week??? HELL YEAH! ¿

    And now - please hurry december - I soooo need to read Ezra & Tuesday's story - Tuesday btw. is Natalie's best friend!!!!
