LOVED This book! Love the whole series there is Romance mystery and of course Hot Firemen heros! If you have not read this series yet BUY THEM ALL .Fred has to learn that he is all that and not less then his family of Military brothers he is a hero in his own right . The chemistry between Fred and Rachael is sizzling . Jennifer has done it again and I WILL buy every book she writes for she does a wonderful Job . Kudos On another Great read

The Fireman Who Loved Me was the first e-book I ever purchased, and I've been hooked on this series ever since. These men are absolutely lovable. The books all make you feel a myriad of emotions, from happiness with the laugh-out-loud moments, to extreme tension and worry with every fire call and rescue, to heart-stopping panic when something goes wrong, to lust-filled, emotional moments that you never want to end.The Night Belongs to Fireman delivers on this perfect formula, and you won't be able to put this book down once you've started. Fred and Rachel have such great chemistry. Even though they come from different worlds, they are just perfect for each other. You will laugh and cry along with the characters. You will want to be Rachel's best friend and want to have Fred rescue you from, well, just about any situation. The history that is built for Rachel give so much depth to her character that you feel for her, even though she's the daughter of the third richest man in America. Fred is such a great hero (but don't call him that to his face, he's a bit touchy). I love that he saves kittens, promotes his favorite charities, helps anyone in need, yet doesn't see himself as being heroic. He's so honorable and good, he has every woman in San Gabriel drooling over him. Having the firemen and wives from the previous novels reappear really ties all the books together. It's like a family reunion when they show up. I would recommend this series to any romance lover. This book is steamy, funny, romantic, suspenseful, and so much more!

Fred Breen is a member of the San Gabriel fire department and always seems to be in the right place at the right time to save people. Rachael is in the back of a limo with some of her friends, when a crane topples over on it. Fred happens to be at the bar that the women just left and is one of the first people on the scene to help. Their chemistry is electric from the first moment they met. But Rachael has secrets. Will Fred be able to break down the barriers she has built around herself?
I have read and loved every book in the Bachelor or San Gabriel series, but for me, this is the very best of the set. I love Fred – he has always been a fun background character but watching him come into his own was truly enjoyable. I love Rachael and how much depth her character had – from the rescue center, to her relationship with her father.
Night Belongs to Fireman is book 6 in The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel series but can easily read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys firefighter romances or Alpha hero’s. I am very sad to see the series end but it is one that I will read over and over.
Jennifer Bernard's final full-length novel in the Bachelor Fireman of San Gabriel series is everything you can expect from a Bachelor Fireman novel: handsome hero, damsel in distress and hot times. Her hero for this story is the mild mannered Fred Breen, also known as Stud, the nice guy who works behind the scenes and never seems to get the girl. Fred’s the one guy for whom the Bachelor Fireman curse is a real thing. All his co-workers have settled down in happy relationships with the women of their dreams except him. He can’t get a girl to give him her phone number most days. Enter Rachel Kessler, pampered daughter of a technology billionaire, and sparks quite literally fly.
The characters of Rachel and Fred are very different people who run in completely different worlds proving the old saying that opposites do attract. Their personalities clash from day one but they can’t fight the attraction they have for each other. Its proof that you can’t choose the one you love when they meet. Despite their arguing they find common ground somewhere and forge a cleverly written friendship that leads to love.
The premise of Fred as the "last bachelor standing" proves to be hilarious at times with groupies, persistent reporters and even a fan club popping up where you least expect them, adding to the bizarre daily life of Fred Breen. My personal favorite is the constant references to the “I Love Fred” buttons that groupies in the book wear. They pop up everywhere, adding to Fred’s frustration and the reader’s delight.
Supporting characters are a huge plus here with all the previous bachelors making an appearance as well as their love interests. Each one brings their own experiences and story to THE NIGHT BELONGS TO FIREMAN to help shape the story to its conclusion.
As a fan of the Bachelor Fireman, I'm sad to see them go but I know that Jennifer Bernard has a last hurrah novella with our heroes in turnouts due out in December called IT’S A WONDERFUL FIREMAN.
I totally recommend the series and the book as a wonderful read to make even the grumpiest day better.
But in the meantime, I LOVE FRED!

My synopsis:
Fred aka STUD, is one of the last-standing bachelor firemen. He's coming off a martial arts tournament and has Mulligan along playing wing-man. They decide to stop into the local bar to celebrate and he soon finds his trophy pilfered by a gal in a veil with a penchant for mishaps.
Rachel leads a normally secluded and overly-protected life for a reason, but when one of her best friends is getting married, she has to celebrate with them. Right? And if that means accepting a dare of stealing Mr. Sexy's trophy, she just has to do it! After all, it IS a dare!
Fred and Rachel have a brief few encounters at the bar, all revolving around Fred pulling her cute little butt out of harm's way, but it's the accident leaving the bar that draws the two closer still. With a paranoid parent, a crazy kidnapper, lingering threats from 17 years earlier and REFUGE isn't always what it seems, this story never has a dull moment.

Why did I choose to read this book?
To be honest? I chose it because I have really enjoyed the entire series and Mrs. Bernard's writing style. She quickly became one of my favorite authors, but in no way does that effect my ability to critique it honestly.

My thoughts:
This should not be read as a stand-alone novel.
Mrs. Bernard has truly done her research when capturing the persona, demeanor and general attitude of a fireman. Her heroes have all been sexy, heartwarming and humble. This is the last full-length novel in the series and I, for one, am sad to see it end. I've referred to her writing style in the past as being the equivalent to the tactile sensation of sun-warmed silk sheets or a fountain of flowing, rich dark chocolate. While I found THE NIGHT BELONGS TO FIREMAN to be extremely easy to read and the flow was perfectly fluid, I did not get the same rich and seductive vibe as from her other books. I think this is because of the character persona that was built up by his colleagues throughout the series. I viewed him as "the kid" or "the little brother" that the bigger boys liked to lovingly pick on.
I have truly enjoyed this series as a whole, THE NIGHT BELONGS TO FIREMAN is a wonderful concluding novel. Fred's light and joy truly made me smile countless times. Rachel's stubborn determination made me want to cheer for her. Fred's interactions with Mulligan and Vader made me laugh out loud, especially the scene at Double D's house. The neighbor kids were wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable. The blend of humor and sass are perfectly mixed with the action and intrigue.
The plot was solid. The climax was chaotic, but not in a bad way (More like "when it rains, it pours"). There were a few loose ends that I would have liked seen resolved (ie: the outcome of the refuge and escapees from THE night. Who was TREE?). I'd thought for sure I knew who "he" was, but Mrs. Bernard was NOT that predictable.

This is my favorite Fireman from San Gabriel Fire Dept, Fred the Bachelor Hero. Other than he does not think he is a hero. He meets Rachel, an animal lover and a haunted past. He becomes a private body guard for Rachel, to help protect her from a killer. This is fast paced story that I could not put down. It was great to meet up with other firemen and their wives.
Even though this is a part of series, you can jump in with this book and will not be lost. Once read though you will want to read all of the other books by Jennifer Bernard.

The Night Belongs to Fireman is Jennifer Bernard’s sixth book in the Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel. I have read all of the books in the series and I think this one is my favorite not because of Fred Breen or Rachel Kessler the hero/heroine but because of the story Ms. Bernard told. I was totally engaged from the outset. I loved how Ms. Bernard opened the story with Fred sitting in a bar after one of his martial arts tournaments and is greeted by Rachel who’s wearing a bridal veil and is attending a bachelorette party at Mulligan’s. Instantly, I felt their attraction and when Fred has to rescue her from an accident scene one sees the compassionate side to this firefighter. Rachel has lived a sheltered life from the age of eight when she was kidnapped and held hostage. She has only a handful of friends that she met in college. Rachel learns to trust Fred while he acts as her bodyguard. Her past kidnapping haunts her and culminates with an intense series of events that had me on the edge of my seat. Jennifer Bernard knows how to bring the emotions of her characters front and center. The Night Belongs to Firemen is a standalone book; however, we are treated to many of the characters that were previously introduced in the other Bachelor Firemen books. I highly recommend The Night Belongs to Firemen along with all of the books in the Bachelor Firemen series. Review:
Before this book I would have had to say that Patrick (Psycho) was my favorite Fireman, but sorry Patrick....Fred is number one in my book.
Now, that my heart belongs to Fred, I also have to say that I think this my favorite book in the Bachelor Fireman of San Gabriel. I love Ms. Bernard's writing style, she makes you feel like you really know these great guys and gals. Her books are so rich in detail, that you can tell she puts a lot of thought and research into her stories.
Now, back to my wonderful Fred (Stud) Breen. There is so much more to him than I previously thought, he is caring, smart, sexy, daring and truly a hero. I think the Author did a great job of giving him a well-rounded persona and making him an excellent leading man. I loved the first scenes between Rachel and Fred in the bar they were witty you could see the sparks already. Poor Rachel has been sheltered most of her life because of being kidnapped as a child. I like that even though that fear is still with her, she does not let it stop her from trying to do live life the way she wants.
This story has lots of action, suspenseful moments and a few twists and turns to keep readers engaged. Now, this is book #6 in the series and though it can be read alone, to get your full enjoyment you should really read them in order.
My new favorite in the series!
