Library Journal
The latest installment in Clark’s Thug series (after Justify My Thug) comes with a boatload of drama. Her tale of many shifting points of view and interconnected storylines opens with a brutal massacre in Decatur, GA, involving the killing of Faheem Mujahid’s young son. In Los Angeles, Trae and Tasha are trying to set their marriage right while a Chinese gangster threatens their shaky peace. Then we switch to New York where Kaylin and his wife Angel have been kidnapped by Kaylin’s brother, Kyron. All circumstances can be traced back to the backstabbing that occurred in earlier titles, but readers may quickly grow weary of the rapidly shifting points of view.
VERDICT Clark’s fame will prompt requests for this title, but her Thug series is spinning out of control with no compass. A large number of characters give voice to alternating sections and to further muddy the waters, many have “K” names—Kyron, Kaylin, Kendra, Kendrick, and King Rick. Lacking a tight storyline, this work is a jumbled and rushed effort. [See Prepub Alert, 10/15/12.]

Honestly by the time I halfway through the book I was super irritated with these Ladies. I don't know why I am just know realizing it after reading book in the series, but these girl was some dickmatized dummies. One was begging and pleading for a man that had was engaged and with another one. One was willing to kill with no thoughts of of her child. It was just too much.. I'm sorry but this is not love this is stupidity. It was a bit much and not one of the girls were smart enough to tell their homie have some self respect get a hold of yourself girl. I know it is fiction but I am just tired of reading about these gullible women that will do anything for a man that won't do anything for them.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I mean after waiting and waiting and waiting, there was many ways this story could go and of course Ms. Wahida Clark had me on the edge of my seat and up all night reading the series that has gone viral. She has outdone herself yet again and I can't wait till the next one.

    I Can Not Believe You...

I waited and waited and waited and waited and then finally a new release ... I was excited and then I realized that I was tricked! Same old story line ... nothing new happened to the crew that I have come to love so much ... I was disappointed to say the very least! As much as I love Ms. Clark and the Thug series, I think you should seriously consider ending the long, drawn out, watered down series! #EnoughIsEnough

    Super Fan

Okay, let me start off by saying I adore Wahida Clark and all her work. I consider myself one of her biggest fans, I have been there since she started with these books. She's REAL so of course I am too. So sadly, this book is my least favorite. It was just too many unanswered questions. Like what happened with Rick and Kyra? What about Rick and Nina? And in the next book can we hear more from Kay & Angel? I love Tasha and Trae but its centered around them and I'm tired of their drama. The last 3 books have mainly been about them. I was happy to see things about Jaz & Fah, i like them too, so i applaud that. But Kay 'em over there acting like T.I & Tiny with the perfect life. I hope my comments helped and the next book will be alot better. But regardless overall it was a great read!

    Questions

As usual wahida delivered again.it was well worth the wait. I just have so many unanswered questions. Wahida you really left us hanging in mid air. I'll be waiting on the next one. Did rick n kyra stay together? Is tasha n trae moving back east? Is Charli still obsessed with trae?

Let me start by saying in my own OPINION that a lot of the bad reviews this book gets is by more or less "people" NOT "fans" of the Wahida Clark Thug Series if you haven't been down w/where Ms. Clark started when she wrote Thugs and the Women Who Love Them then you probably wouldn't understand why Trae is DEEP in his feelings in this book or why the women of this book is in one reviewers words "gullible" (poor choice of words). If you are fan of reading then you'd know that every author has a different writing style, their creative flow is different....if every book we read was the same page to page what would be the point of reading...it's just a book....I've been down with Wahida since her first book and will continue to support her movement like Ne Ne Capri & Ca$h....Sometimes its funny how women act like they can't relate to other women...what I love about Wahida though is she keeps it real..maybe you wouldn't have done somethings in this book or other books that these "dickmatized dummies" did but there are plenty of women out here that have, will, and are CURRENTLY doing it...it's just a book...Wahida you get 5 stars all day...

I have read and bought all the books in this series but I'll be

I have read and bought all the books in this series but I'll be getting the next one from the library if I read it at all. The book was in one word stupid. These are grown men and women acting like teenagers for the stake of starting drama so Wahida Clark can write another book. I loved the last book but she fell WAY off with this one she made the characters more ghetto while taking away their class and common sense. I was looking forward to reading this and I was extremely disappointed. I found myself unable to even care about what happened to these characters because they were acting so ridiculous.

    Would not recommend.

I made a mistake with this choice. After the first page I put the book down. I thought this book was about the author's rise to success. Can't rate if I didn't read.

I thought this book was a good read but the end really disappointed me...Ms Clark left us hanging on this one. I have so many questions and I hope I don't have to wait another 2-3 years to get my answers.
