I absolutely love vampires and was looking for something after the Twilight Saga. This was so much more my speed. All the members of the Black Dagger Brotherhood are absolutely amazing. The VERY bad boy that is absolutely melting of the heart once you get to know them. I would recommend this series to all. I read all 6 books in two weeks. Ran out to get the 7th and can't wait for the 8th. Will reread the series before the issuance of the 8th.

It might be in the romance section but its a great action series as well.............I dont like how every book is about a different brother though. I get its called the "Black Dagger Brotherhood Series: but in the first book you get so close to Wrath and Beth, the first book is the best out of all of them. You want to see their story continue but instead you hear little if nothing at all about them. I like the other brothers stories and backgrounds but to me the first book was a much better jumping off point for the main story plot...............This is such an intense series. Full of action, love, lust, rage and intrigue. All the characters are so well written and well developed. There isn't a single one of the brothers or the females in the story you dont get to know 100% at the end of every book.....................The humor is hilarious! I catch myself laughing all the time. Not to mention the connection between the brothers is very warming and I miss that kind of honor and bond that used to exist in the world many hundreds of years ago.........................This book series does a great job of blending Vampire lore, modern times, romance and an edgy spin on creating her own world................You have really never read anything like this series. Whether man or woman, action genre or romance genre fan, you will love this series and fall in love with every character!

At first J.R. Wards take on these vampires took me off guard. They do not follow the guidelines of any vampire stories I've ever read or seen. They do not feed off humans and are basically their own society (although they do interact with humans). The action comes from the Brotherhoods struggle to save their race from their nemisis, the Omega. However, each book focuses on the individual story of each character and the background that forms their personalities and personal struggles. Each book also focuses on how they came to be with their mates and the love story between them. The sexual content is not the boring, romance novel fluff that does not even come close to real life and I find painful to read!! It is intensely erotic and captivating!! I wouldn't mind having a brother of my own, even if only for one night! From beginning to end, these books keep me entertained and I would reccommend them highly.

I was told by a friend about a year ago about this series and thought about buying them for a while. I can not believe I waited to buy these books. I love the stories. I started reading the series about 10 days ago and I am almost done with my six books. I am getting ready to order the 7th book next payday and I can't wait for April when the the 8th book comes out. Also going to the web site for the books JR Ward has interviews with each of the characters and lots of other stuff that brings the people in books to life even more!!

I have read a few series in the science fiction and vampire world. So far, I have been very lucky to have picked some of the best. Reading the 'reader reviews' has really helped me to find what I want. I can tell you J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood has been my favorite. There has been numerous nights when I went to bed very late because I could not lay the books down. They have it all: escapism, strong characters, action, suspense, action, romance, sex, romance, sex. Did I mention romance and sex?!

It has everything, great suspense each individual story had their own great plot. It has funny, sadness,heartache, intense sexual content with just the right amount of romance. This series for a original non-reader like myself just did me in. I can not just read a book a week anymore it is more like every other day. I still cant find a writer quite like JR Ward. I tell everyone she either has a fantastic imagination or the perfect husband, or heck maybe even both. I am in withdrawal every time I have to wait for her next one.

I have ALL of these and just love them. I can't wait until the next book comes out. It was hard to wait for #8 but I did and had these shipped with it as well as #7. Read them one after the other and was spellbound for a couple of weeks. I love to read and these did not take me long. My friends are amazed at how fast I read these. LOL

I don't remember when I've been so enthralled by a set of books than I was by Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Ward's writing style draws you in immediately and you become so immersed in the story and the wonderful characters, it's tough to put your book down to catch a little sleep. I devoured the six books over a week's time and felt lost when I finished, so immediately started searching for the next one. Having been a long time fan of the vampire genre, I could not believe I'd gone this long without discovering this wonderful series. Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan and Kresley Cole, et al. should watch our for J.R. Ward!

These are excellent novels! The characters are extreem and absolutly to die for! If you enjoy hulking vampire warriors, spicy romance, and plots that have you teetering on the edge of your seat, then these are for you. I enjoyed them so much I read them all in one week! Ward is an extreemly talented author with an excellent insite to detail. I would highly recommend these books to anyone with a love for the supernatural.

What a unique way of twisting the whole vampire scenerio. Basically the Black Dagger Brotherhood is the protectors of their race (vampires). Instead of the vampires changing humans into vampires, this race is born vampires. There is a dark, evil force called The Omega that do change humans (usually well trained criminals) by taking their soul and changing them into a weapon known as the Lessers that have the ability to kill the vampires. The Brotherhood is in charge of protecting their race from the Lessers and the Omega. Of course, along the way they may happen to interact with female humans, vampires, and even half-breeds giving the action pack story a little romance. (Sometimes a lot of hardcore romance) Absolutely brilliant. I have read all 7 novels, and can't wait for #8 Lover Mine to come out in April 2010.

I'm half way through the box set and cannot read them fast enough. The characters are great. The unique way she writes about Vampires and what they do and don't do is unlike any other vampire book or movie out there. There is romance, danger, and steamy scenes with a wonderful plot line. The books meld into one another. You definitely want to read them in order. Love them!

This series is AWESOME and I can't wait to read more! Just when I thought I was done reading about vampires, I came across The Black Dagger Brotherhood series and thought "oh what the heck one more won't hurt....lol The series has it all....paranormal drama, and lots of romance! Makes for a great read anytime! Check it out its great!

So happy a friend recommended this. After reading Twilight saga, I haven't been able to find a series that I enjoyed until this. Wonderful characters, plot and of course sexy vampires!!!!

I bought this series thinking I would start it, get into and finish it up while on a relaxing vacation. Well, did not happen, I could not stop reading. So I had to find other books for vactaion.
I would definetly say this is series is for the mature adult reader.
It took me no time at all to get into the books and they held my interest the entire time. I usually do not get into vampire stuff, but tried it anyway. I was not disappointed at all.
This is a good series to help clear your mind of the real world and fall into a good romance story with a lot of adventure.

This series was recommended to me and I thought "No, not another vampire series, Argh." However, I received them, started reading and I couldn't put them down. Yes, they are that good. I liked the flawed characters, the story line...pretty much liked it all.
JR Ward, is not for everyone, but she's for you if you like something different, bold, something touching.
