GREAT READ!!!! I am true book junkie!!! LISA JACKSON
is my all time favorite author; her books always keep yoy on the edge of your seat and wanting more. I uave a hard time putting the book down. I have read everyone of her books and they get better and better each time! I love the new Nikki and Reed. I could not stop reading this book and finished it in a day! If you like Phschological Thrillers, i highly recommend this book !. Lisa has a way of making you feel conected to her characters and she decribes her scenes in vivid detail almost making you believe you are there with the characters.
Lisa, i hope to see more books that include Nikki and Reed!
I have read all your books and can't wait to read many more!

Once again, Lisa Jackson has written an incredible story. When one reads so many suspense books, its hard to come up with something that really feels new. But the descriptions of the horror of being buried alive, and the creepiness of the sick-o who is doing it, is very unique, yet oh so typical of Jackson's stories.

Lisa Jackson has given readers a chilling story to ponder in her suspense novel, The Morning After. There are multiple murders and no one seems able to connect the dots in order to solve the mystery of people being buried alive, on top of rotting corpses. Once you get past the horror of the crime, you begin to sort through the cast of characters to try to out-think the author before the end smacks you in the face. Detective Pierce Reed has some past problems to overcome and journalist Nikki Gillette needs a topnotch story to get her out of the doldrums of stories which attract few readers. It is not surprising that the two should meet under less than desirable circumstances. Nikki is all over the detective in her attempts to get a lead story and this only aggravates the detective, such that he goes into avoidance mode. But, lo and behold, Reed finally contacts Nikki and the two must find common ground in order to solve the heinous crime of a serial killer on the loose.
I found it a bit difficult to like the lead character of Nikki but the author has done a fine job of seeing her traits through consistently. There are many characters and it takes concentration on the part of the reader to put them all in place to follow the story through to completion. The descriptions of the victims' last moments is compelling and the characters are complex and just elusive enough that the reader will keep turning the pages to learn more. Jackson is fast becoming a leading suspense author and The Morning After will certainly facilitate her climb to the top.

The story will keep you on your toes, scared, question everybody involved and make you cry and sad at the same time. I loved this book, a friend of mine Lend me this book and I had to purchase it because me and my daughter was trying to read. Great buy for bargain price.

Whomever thinks this book is boring or not good, didn't read the same book. It was awesome! The suspense was engaging. Things were repeated because the author was giving clues so the reader could put two and two together. I figured it out midway but kept reading because the "why" is so very important. Shame on those who thought this book was a waste of time and money.

This book was the first Lisa Jackson book I have read.Loved it, couldn't put it down.I'll be buying more of her books for sure.

i'm so surprised that this book got decent/good reviews! it was awful. horribly written and just all over the place. also very repetitive. this book probably could have been written in 150 pages or less instead of the 350+. 15 pages in and i knew i wasted $4.30. but since i bought it, i forced myself to read the whole thing. ugh. that's time i'll never get back.

This chapter brings out everything about the characters! Keep it up! I can just picture Morningkit sticking her tounge out at the new apprentice, I can hear the ha<_>te and boast in Dewpaw's voice... I love your story so far! And the fact that you made all of this in a few hours is even better! Keep up the work!

A nice cat shouldn't have a stuck-up kit like Dewpaw! "May Starclan light your path." Velvetstar purred and dissmissed them. Dewpaw trotted over. "I'm an apprintence and your not!" She hissed laughing. Morningkit growled. "I am three moons today! I am gonna be one soon! You wait and see!" "Ha!" Laughed Dewpaw. "Yea right!" "Shut up, Dewpaw!" Yelled Risingkit. Dewpaw gave them a suprised look and hurried away, glaring. "See!" Laughed Morningkit, "You got her good! Ha ha! Mnnnnn! Ha!" Their mother rushed over. "Kits, where are your manners? Youll be one soon. Respect your elders." Risingkit muttered, "She is not my elder. She doesnt need respect. That is a perfect definition of her." "Yea, she is an elder." Morningkit said quickly. "A big fat stinky, smelly, old elder!" "Yea, and she lives in the excact same kind of den!" They both laughed hard. Their mother gave them a glare, and they followed her obediently back to the den.
