    Ok

Ok read but not as good as the other books in the series. The first third is filled with a lot of information about where the other characters are in their lifes. Too much info, boring, and distracting. Once Marco comes into the picture, things get better and the story really gets exciting.... until Hannah starts with her fears and paranoias and becomes this annoying character. Pity because Marco is a great hero and I would have loved Hannah's character to be consistently strong and more relatable.

I was so looking forward to another book in this series but this

I was so looking forward to another book in this series but this was missing something. Too much information about minor characters/plots. Normally I love to get a follow up of the other couples but this time too much. Yes, they had kids but I really did not need to know all their details. It was suppose to be Hannah and Marco's story. What she went through was terrible and was not given the proper treatment. Once Marco entered the story, it got better. He was great but Hannah, who I loved in the earlier books, was not so lovable this time. I am looking forward to Cole in the next story and I will always read a Samantha Young book. Read her On Dublin Street series and Into the Deep.

3.75 stars: FALL FROM INDIA PLACE is the fourth full-length inst

3.75 stars: FALL FROM INDIA PLACE is the fourth full-length instalment in Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult, erotic On Dublin Street romance series focusing on a group of family and friends in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is American born Marco D’Alessandro and Hannah Nichols story-  a second chance at love and a happily ever after.
When fourteen year old Hannah fell in love with Marco D’Alessandro she had no idea how far she would fall.  At seventeen, Hannah professed her love to the only boy who would ever hold her heart but following their first sexual encounter, Marco pulled away and disappeared from Hannah’s life. Fast forward five years and an accidental meeting between Hannah and Marco would set off a storm of emotions and painful memories that Hannah had kept buried in the past. Betrayal, heartbreak, secrets and lost love would send Hannah spiraling out of control as Marco tries to prove that he is worthy of her love-once again.
The relationship between Hannah and Marco is destructive, gut wrenching and difficult. Marco knows that he made a mistake five years earlier but Hannah is not willing to accept anything beyond the moment and Hannah is not an easy character to love. This is a woman who will not forgive; will not forget; and refuses to acknowledge that both she and Marco suffered from the mistakes of the past and in this I had a difficult time accepting Hannah’s immature reaction and emotional tirades as though her feelings where the only ones that mattered. Five years had passed and life did a number on both Hannah and Marco but forgiveness was difficult for a woman who still loved the man that destroyed her heart and her soul. Hannah is not the only person suffering with pain and regret but she believes she is the only one that matters.
Samantha Young pulls the reader into a story where a moment in time has destroyed two people; where a painful secret would set the tone for one woman’s outlook on life; and where one man must make amends for something more than he could possibly know.
FALL FROM INDIA PLACE reunites all of the previous storyline characters and advances the series several months to a few years. There is humor, heartbreak, drama and passion for a couple that have lost and found one another against remarkable odds. Told from Hannah’s first person POV a good portion of the storyline is flashback and memories of what happened after Marco and Hannah’s one night together-the destructive nature of falling in love and letting go; the dissolution of the unknown; and the ability of the heart and the mind to move forward following the staggering realization that you are not alone.

4.5  The On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young is another on

    4.5
The On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young is another one of those series that I just adore.  It all began with Joss and Braden in On Dublin Street, who will always be one of my favorite.  In Fall From India Place, Braden's little sister Hannah is all grown up and the boy she had a crush on as a teen, Marco D'Alessandro, the boy who broke her heart, is back in the picture five years after the horrific event that almost crushed her. She didn't expect to see him, and she doesn't know if she can ever trust him again, much less tell him the whole ugly truth about what happened after he left.  Marco is determined.  He let her go 5 years ago, his best friend, the girl he loved, because he thought he wasn't good enough.  Now, he is determined to have her back and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her.  Marco also has a secret he has been keeping from Hannah though, a secret that coupled with her own hidden grief could destroy any hope they have of making it work.

I really loved Hannah's character in this book.  She was so funny.  I did think she protested a little too much, but she did the right thing when it counted.  Her personality is such that you couldn't help but like her.  Marco is definitely a hottie.  He messed up badly, but he works hard to redeem himself.  The chemistry is hot, as is the sex, something Samantha Young always delivers.  One of the things I loved best about the novel was the way Samantha Young brought all the characters from the previous books together.  Not only did she bring them together, she provided an excellent explanation of who they were through Hannah's voice, and for fans of the series, well......it felt like being part of a family reunion with the On Dublin Street crowd...and the crowd has definitely gotten bigger.  I love the fact that although their individual novels were over, their lives go on, and as a reader, you get to see that and be a part of it.  Cole, Jo's brother played a bigger role in this book and I enjoyed getting to know him.  I can't wait to read his story.

Romance, hot sexy Alpha male, fun and sarcastic heroine, and a great story to boot.  What more could you ask for.  Fall From India Place is a fantastic book that fans of the series will devour, and if you haven't started the series, you really should.  It is wonderful.

I have read all of Samantha Young's books and have really enjoyed them. I love hearing more about past characters. I hope the series continues. It definitely helps to have read her previous books in this series to better understand the connection among all the characters.

~Reviewed by ANN & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog

FALL FROM INDIA PLACE is a second chance romance involving Hannah Nichols and Marco D’Alessandro. Ellie’s little sister is all grown up now, pursuing her teaching career with a strong determination. The first 20% of the book involves flashbacks that tell the story of how Hannah and Marco met and also about how they came to lose each other. A lot of this early first half gets bogged down by the teaching side of Hannah’s character. I really felt that it slowed down the book and didn’t offer too much to her character.

It isn’t until Marco’s first appearance in the book that things began to pick up at the 25% mark. Naturally, Hannah is very angry to see Marco again after four years. He left her without an explanation and learning that he returned to Scotland a year after he left and never sought her out causes her to react in an unpleasant way. When we find out why he left in the first place, the reveal is anticlimactic as Marco’s reasons were well justified in my opinion.

A lot of the time, Hannah’s reactions to situations often came off as over the top and dramatic. She blames Marco for everything and she isn’t very nice about it when he tries to apologize. I discovered that the main reason why I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the others in the series was because of Hannah’s character. She placed the blame of her unhappiness on Marco too much and her character development suffered because of it.

On the other hand, Cole’s character really shined in this one. He was sweet and charming and very supportive of Hannah. I am looking forward to reading more about him. There are also quite a bit of updates on past couples in the series. You will see them expanding their families with little kids that have a lot to say. So while this wasn’t my favourite book in the series, the book is still worth checking out to read about the updates on your favourite characters.
