This book made me so happy. It's been quite awhile since there was actually a book about Christy and Todd. They've popped up as secondary characters in some of Robin Jones Gunn's other books, but it was definitely time to truly see life from Christy's point of view once again. Christy is such a realistic character. I truly identify with her temptations, struggles, and worries about life. Even some of her "ideals" about marriage are very similar to things I've dealt in my own life. My one criticism of this story would be the back story. I realize it was needed for those who haven't read all of the Christy books, but it made things drag a bit for someone like me, who is quite familiar with Christy. At the end of the day, though, I was so happy with this book. I laughed and cried with Christy as she learned some valuable lessons about being a friend, wife, and daughter of the King. (And it's not often a book makes me laugh and cry, so that's saying a lot!). When I got to the last page, I found myself anxious to read more, which is another sign of a really great book! I would definitely recommend reading of all Christy's story, starting way back with the book Summer Promise. I think it makes this latest installment all the sweeter. #ChristyandToddForever

I absolutely love the Christy Miller series!!! I was thrilled to hear that Christy and Todd have a series of their own! Love these books and recommend them to everyone! :-) :-) :-) :-) They are awesome! ;-)

I love Robin Jones Gunn's writing! I was looking forward to this book for months. I had missed reading about Christy and wanted to know what was going to happen next in her and Todd's story. This is a book and series that every girl should read!

Reading one of Robin Jones Gunn’s books is like getting together with a good friend to get caught up on each other’s lives. And this one is no different. Forever with You, Book 1 of Christy & Todd, the Married Years, tells the story of Christy and Todd, who met as teens in an earlier series.
They’ve been married for two years now and life brings some new challenges. The author writes realistically about things that can upset our comfortable lives and how everyone handles them differently. And since Christy and Todd are still young marrieds, it’s another step to learning how to deal with each other’s disappointments and fears – while continuing to grow closer to God and each other as a couple.
This book was a light, comfortable, and enjoyable read.

Christy and Todd Spencer have a rough road ahead of them. They face job loss and difficulties that test their faith and marriage. But with a strong faith they face adversity head on and shine. Towards the end of the book as they renovate Todd’s fathers house they do a house blessing that I thought was a fantastic idea. They wrote scriptures on the floors before the carpet was installed. Wow what a way to show God praise.
This was one of the most inspiring books I have read in a very long time. It’s the kind of book that had me anticipating God’s next move. It inspired me to think and trust God in a greater way. I had to pull back and look at my faith on the issue of trust. Todd and Christy’s faith is the kind of devotion to God I dream about having. The author Robin Jones Gunn’s strong faith shined in this 5 star book. I highly recommend it to anyone that is a Christian.
I want to give a high-five to the author Robin Jones Gunn and publisher for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. The Book Club Network Inc. provided me with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for their, the authors and publishers generosity.

Christy and Todd are a newly married couple who's world seems to turn upside down. Financially, both are holding on by a thread, but their faith in God is not wavering. The two know The Lord will provide despite the constant battles of everything turning wrong and no matter how much they do, everything seems to keep going wrong, until they start to see God has dreams for their life. The two have to cling to their faith and each other to get through the hardest year of their marriage. Will their young marriage survive the trials they find themselves in? Trusting God was more then Christy has bargained for, but knew that she had to walk through the trials of the life set before them in order for God to move. I cannot wait for the next book to come out. This book was great! I can't wait to hear what happens with our God Lovers. You won't be disappointed by this book.

For those following Christy and Todd, this is a wonderful addition to the collection. It's a very realistic, down-to-earth depiction of some struggles that come with married life. Along the way, familiar faces make an appearance, and the book is full of learning points. If you've never read Robin Jones Gunn's Christy Miller series, start off with that, read Christy and Todd the College Years, then go on to the Katie Weldon series before opening this up. It can be stand alone, I guess, but those series provide years of backstory. (The first starts in high school).
