Jackson Hunt hasn't been out of the military for long, but he needs to get a job and find a sense of normalcy if he is going to keep his demons at bay. The job that falls into his lap, though, is anything but normal.

I really had a hard time enjoying this series. My first issue was that the author writes stores that are predictable. With all of the Losing It novels I found that I knew what would happen before she got to the plot. I have read almost the same plots from other authors so I kind of felt like this was a cheap knock off. Even with the books being predictable I still feel like Cora is a good writer and do a good job drawing you into a story that most people have already read. The second issue I had with this series is that Cora fails to finish the stories. When you finally enjoy the story and want to read more she ends all of the books without letting the reader know what will happen after they decide to get over themselves and be together. The third dislike about this series has to do with just Seeking Her. I really enjoyed Jackson's POV more than Kelsey's yet Cora failed to write the whole story out. I understand I read the same story in Finding It, but I wanted to read Jackson's POV for the complete story not just until she is drugged. My advise to Cora would be FINISH THIS BOOK before writing another one!!!!

If you liked Finding it, like I did, you will enjoy this novella from Jackson's POV. He was a very misterious character for much of the other book, so it was great getting to know him in depth here. The novella ends when they meet in Budapest, so the story is short and focused on the parts of Kelsey's trip that are not described in the previous book or that focused only on Kelsey's account. The latter ones were almost replicated word by word in here, losing originality. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Still, I really enjoyed the read and knowing more about Jackson. He really is a terrific character in these books.

I fell head over heels in love with Bliss and Garrick. The characters in each of the following novels hold a special place in my heart. But, no one more than Jackson and Kelsey. I loved their story in Finding It, so I was obviously thrilled to learn there would be a novella from Jackson’s POV.
This was a short, quick read that really gave me a better idea of where Jackson came from and what was going on inside his head as he was acting as bodyguard and babysitter to Kelsey. From first sight through first contact and when he starts fighting his feelings for her, while trying to keep her from falling apart entirely, I loved reading it all through Jackson’s eyes. Fans of this series will absolutely enjoy this novella.

It would have been a better novella, if the author would have told the complete story from Jackson Hunt's POV.

Definately read Finding It before reading this book! I did not like how this book did not tell the entire story from Jackson's POV! Definately put a damper on it for me! However the writing was great and the story that was told was good, I just wanted more and I knew there was more just not from Jackson's POV! Even just hitting some of the big moments from Finding It and replaying them in his POV would have been OK. I still enjoyed the book, just wish the story was finished

I totally love Jackson Hunt. I was afraid when I started this that it would be a retelling from a different POV but it's not. It's Hunt's story. Really it's the part leading up to the two of them making a connection. There is some overlap but mostly it felt like all Hunt.
What I loved was how it filled in the blanks around Finding It, why he was the way he was and some of his nightmares. It's not a sexy story like Finding It is but an answers story. I like that it didn't try to be a retelling. I liked that it would only make sense after you'd read Finding It.
If you've read Finding It, then you need Seeking Her! It's a great addition. If you haven't read Finding It, then you need to. It's what's great about New Adult and Cora Carmack is one of the masters.

Not only enamored with her charachters, its like you wish you're one of them too! Oh yeah, give me Garrick, Cade or Jackson *melts, it leaves you wanting more!!! Sadly this is the last book of the Losing it series and its gonna be hard since I've read all the books and got used to the charachters and their stories. I loved Seeking Her because it's like Kelsey & Hunt were made for each other and his POV was wonderfully written!! Loved the scene in Budapest at the pool party and how the thoughts of keeping her safe never left his mind, loved how he kept her away from other not so trustworthy guys and how he fought one of them!!
What I liked the most of his POV was his determination to get to know this girl, he saw beyond the laughs and looks, that she might had had a troubled life and that there was something else behind the beautiful girl whom made him weak, he just knew, and wanted to help her, get to know her and make her feel better & happier. Perfect. :):):);)=)

Great novella! I love Jackson Hunt! I hope you write another book with Jackson and Kelsey! I really enjoyed reading this from Jackson's POV!

I am a huge fan of Cora's Losing It series and I have to say it's rather bittersweet seeing the series come to its conclusion. However, I am certainly excited for Cora's upcoming new adult series! I absolutely adored Finding It, so when I learned there would be a novella from Jackson's POV I was ecstatic. He really was a mystery in Finding It and I wanted to see what made him tick. While we get to know him on a bit more personal level in this novella, I found the storyline to be a bit lacking. I knew going in it would be a novella and a retelling so that wasn't a shocker, but I just felt a bit bored at times.
Don't get me wrong, I do love me some Jackson Hunt. And getting inside that man's head was definitely a treat! I absolutely love seeing Kelsey through his eyes because he is able to see her vibrant, free spirit and her beauty just by observing her. Everyone takes notice of her and wants to be around her- they really are the moths and Kelsey is the flame burning brightly and out of control. However, as he watches and observes her, he realizes that she isn't just a spoiled, rich girl running around Europe to party. In fact, he is almost shocked to see his former self in her. She's stuck in an endless cycle of self destruction and it reminds him of an all too familiar road he has once traveled.
"It's just... I look at you, and I see a beautiful woman in the prime of her life, traveling to exotic places, with the world at her fingertips. But I think that's what you want people to see. And maybe I love a mystery too, because I can't stop thinking about what's underneath all that, what you don't let people see."
Jackson is definitely tempted by Kelsey. She's beautiful and sexy and he is envious by how freely she is living her life traipsing around, drinking and having fun. But his envy soon turns to anger as he realizes this is a pattern for her. He is risking his own sobriety to follow her to bar after bar while she gets drunk and that is really difficult for him. He knows he can't be tempted by her, as he has a job to do. However, Jackson is definitely fighting a losing battle because there is so much more to Kelsey than meets the eye. And Jackson is the only one who can see past the façade she's put up and see how she longs for more.
I enjoyed reading Jackson's first impressions of Kelsey and how he has fought his desire for her from the very beginning. Although it didn't quite pack the punch I was hoping for, I still found this novella to be a nice addition to the Losing It series

If you haven't read Finding It, I highly suggest you read it before this. You'll ruin so much for yourself if you don't.
Seeking Her, Cora Carmack's final entry in the Losing It series lives up to it's name. Seeking Her delves deeper into the psyche of Jackson Hunt, Kelsey Summers' traveling partner from Finding It. One year sober, and battling his own post-military demons, Jackson thinks following a spoiled rich girl is going to be the easiest job he's had in some time. It isn't. All the girl wants to do is party in every city she visits. Testing the limits of his self-control, it's everything Hunt can do not to have that one drink, to keep himself unknown to Kelsey.
As Kelsey city-hops, Hunt finds himself more and more drawn to the girl. She's a bit of a kindred spirit, using what she can to drown out her own demons. But everything, and everyone has it's breaking point.
Jackson's story is everything you'd want from a Cora Carmack story, funny, emotional, and awkward. If you loved Finding It you'll fall in love with Jackson all over again.
*Please do not read my review if you have yet to read FINDING IT. It very well may contain some spoilers!*
We all met Hunt in FINDING IT while he was sent to watch over Kelsey. But now we get to know him before that. Well, slightly before that. As he is following Kelsey around overseas, we get to know him a little better than we did at first. The pains of trying to make it drink-free for a year, the pains of losing close friends, and the pains of watching over a spoiled little rich girl whose vaca is banked by daddy. But what he didn’t expect was to start having feelings for said girl. Little by little, bar by bar, he is learning that there is more to Kelsey than meets the eye. And soon he cannot hold back his feelings any more.
Oh how I adore Carmack for bringing Hunt into our lives. I love him so very much and was so happy to dive into his mind and see what moved him. I was very happy with this quick read and who Hunt is. One slight problem I had was he didn’t seem as tormented about taking that drink from Kelsey as I would have wanted him to be to make it more believable. But I still loved that Carmack went back and let us in on him from the start so we can know him a little more.
Pick up this fantastic quick read today! You will be glad you did. But please read FINDING IT FIRST.
