First of all....I LOVED the book and it will, as have all Lisa Jackson's books, be kept on my book shelf.
I DO have a question, however. In "Left to Die" at the end of the book, Jillian's attacker, who was originally thought to be the Star Crossed killer, was killed in a fight with Jillian in the hotel room but in the sequel she is mentioned a number of times as "being in custody" or "being questioned". I thought maybe I misread the first book so I went back and read it again and there is no question Falda was dead as on page 492 the author says "From the glassy stare of Falda's eyes, she knew it was over" and on page 494 Falda's husband says "I'm dying. Falda's gone. She won't hurt you ever again".
Am I losing my mind? Did anyone else notice this?
Also, Elyssa's car is found, and the police talk to her parents, but several chapters later the neither of the cars of the two missing women has been found and the police postpone talking to their parents. And again, Regan's kid is on the ridge watching the tow truck pull his mother's car out of the ravine. Several paragraphs later he spots a tow truck.
Minor details, especially considering what a riveting book it was, but things like this bug me. I also felt Padgett's story was left hanging but perhaps she will reappear in a future book.

The characters of Regan and Santana are sexy without being overly romantic and smarmy. The plot will keep you guessing until the author is ready to reveal the truth. The serial killer plot has never been done like this. The cover imagery will haunt you even after you've finished. This book is a great choice for escaping to the sofa on a cold rainy winter day. Alvarez loneliness was touching and simple without becoming a distraction from the focus of the story. The author enhances the plot by allowing the reader into the head of the killer to hear his diabolical thoughts.

Great read @ 100 pages from the end was non stop fighting for her life couldnt put it doen up until 3 am to finish..... You wong regret anything grom this auther

This the second book in the series. After reading the first book, I found you don't know who the killer is until you read the second book. Her books are a little like John Grishams. Good read.

I got the entire To Die series and Lisa Jackson sure does know how to write a very good book. I would highly recommend these books.

(We had a complaint last section! I usually try to answer any questions or comments that I think need some explaining. This one does. I do realize I misspelled 'field'. I'm not going to sugar coat it, I did. I often seem to swich i's and e's when I'm typing. Probably because I speak Spanish, where most words are ie, not ei. Just a simply habit of mine. For the person that said I'm not in college: First, ask my brother Aaron. He's a junior in high school. I skipped two years ahead, so even though he's my twin, he's two years behind me. That, and if you're in third grade, you obviously have never been to college. How on earth could you think you can identify a college student if you've never been? I've wasted too many characters here. If anybody else has questions, go to 'emris' res one, okay? ) <p>
I jumped on the board, flicking my heel back to press the start on the back end of the Water Board. It shot off with a hum, and I leaned forward to compensate for the inertia of my body. Wouldn't want to fall off now would I? I heard a whoop as Lynia hopped on her board behind me, glancing back with a smile to see her speeding to catch up. I set my knees farther apart, tightening my sachel a bit, and the board took the command, speeding more. I watched the world fly by, a blur of sounds and colors, loving the feeling of the cool wind kissing my cheeks. I didn't live far from Hartmones Science Industries, where I took my classes rather than a regular school, being a Technology Academy student. The Technology Academy was an program in which you were taught advanced levels of science, mathematics, and technology, usually the place to send out the students that came up with the inventions such as my Water Board. I rode into the parking lot, jumping off and running to a stop when I reached the front gate. My Water Board stopped, reversing some until it was back in front of me. I smiled, picking it up and holding it to my side. Currently, the other Technology Academy students were filing inside, filtering around me and Lynia, who'd stopped behind me, to get into the building. <br>
"Da<_>mn," Lynia said. "You did NOT just get that thing's weight distribution fixed." <br>
I smiled. "I may have done some tinkering myself," I said, starting to walk in pace with her as we headed inside. Hartmones Science Industries was unusual in many ways, but my favorite quality was the inside of the building. The walls were made of clear, bulletproof glass. In some places you could see the wiring on the inside of the many electronic aspects to the building, in some places you could see straight through to the room behind. A few rooms, such as the restrooms, and the Headmaster's office, had tinted glass, so there was a degree of privacy. <br>
"What's your first class?" Lynia asked. <br>
"Uhhh..." I said, reaching into my bag and pulling out my pod. I quickly flicked it on and scrolled through to my files, typing in a few codes. "Ah, simple. AP Biology, Room 23G with Mr. Nansmond. You?" <br>
Lynia frowned. "Computer Technology. I've never been good at Biology, you know I'd never get into AP. Well, see you at lunch then!" <br>
"Okay," I said. "Later!" I started to walk towards my first class, starting my first day as a Junior. Hopefully this year would be a interesting one.<p>

Read that first to get the whole picture of this entertaining thriller. In this novel, the heroin and lead detective gets caught up with the serial killer. It's a fast read to find out how it all works out. Very exciting.

This is one of her best books. Lots of action and pages of suspence and thrills. Lot a rollercoaster ride right up to the final chapter. You will love this book and want to read more.

I found it every bit as exciting as its' predecessor. I think Lisa Jackson is an amazing author who always delivers a fascinating read. It was well-constructed, with realistic characters who drew you into the story. I sometimes forgot I wasn't living in the wilderness with them. I would definitely recommend it.
