a fast-paced exhilarating romantic science fiction thriller

Alix Gerran has three weeks to save her mother and sister from execution by the Ritadarion Chief Minister of Justice Merjack. To free them, she must find evidence of treasonous activity by Devyn Kell, the son of the notorious couple Sharara Dagan and C.I. Syn (see Born of Fire). Merjack warns her every agent he has sent to bring Kell in to stand public trial has come home in a body bag.

Alix obtains a position as an engineer on the same ship that Kell is a doctor. Once in service to the League as an assassin until he had an epiphany; now a Runner he smuggles supplies to those in need of basic sustenance in order to survive. . If she fails to find proof, Alix is to plant the evidence needed to legally hang Kell. However, she is not only attracted to him; she admires what he and other crew do for the downtrodden. He is falling in love with the new ship employee, but knows she hides something that he fears will make her his Achilles' heel.

The third League tale is a fast-paced exhilarating romantic science fiction thriller that showcases the offspring of the heroes of previous tales (see Born of Night). Filled with action and plenty of humor, fans of the saga will enjoy this fine finish as Kell meets his equal in Alix. Readers will enjoy this strong rewriting of the Ichidian Universe even if Merjack a bit over the top of Olympus Mons with his degree of hatred surpassing the hottest sun.

    A must read!!!!

Sherrilyn Kenyon has once again done herself proud. I have yet to read one of her books that I could actually put down without reluctance. Unknowingly Kenyon has helped me lose 40 pounds by reading her "PAGE TURNERS" while on the treadmill. I got hooked on her books and have read everyone I can get my hands on. Born of Ice dared to not disappoint. I have yet to read one of her books that I'm not craving more for the characters she introduces and then sure enough she puts a book out expanding on the lives of the next excitinng characters. I await her next piece of work with impatience. A must read for sure.

Kenyon does it again - smashing hit!!

Once again Sherrilyn Kenyon takes you from the first page to the very last, left me wishing that it really wasn't the last page. All of her books make me so I can hardly wait to read the next page, wanting to hurry to the end. When I am finished with each book I always hope the next one will be as good, Kenyon never disappoints me each book is as good if not better than the last. My pocket suffers with every new Kenyon Series because I find myself having to get the first one and each one that follows, it is great entertainment worth every single penny!

    Amazing but...

I found this book to be amazing. The only thing I'd change is the order of this book. It would be better placed at the end of the series.

    As good as expected

These League books are OK. They're a little light on sci-fi and heavy on sex for my taste, but they make for decent light reading. While not the most unique novels I've ever read, the plots are interesting enough, with likable characters. Entertaining, if not ground-breaking.

    Another great read

I think that this is another great addition to ther League series . However that being said I thought it was a little short and didn't take me long to read. Once again love the characters but there is a 20 yr gap that does seem to work.

    Wonderful Story with Great Twists

I have to say this was very unique series wise. I have a series I'm working on that will follow the children as well as the parents but I haven't seen any books (not saying they're not out there) that do that as well outside of Jude Deveraux.

There's something I quite like about that, I must say. I love that we get to see beyond the marriage to what happens after with two of my favorite characters. I also love to see what kind of man their son turns out to be.

This was a very good story and we get to see how no one's story truly ends. One chapter might finish but there is always more to the story.

Fabulous characters introduced in this story. Characters that I really hope are getting books like a certain little sister. hehe

I loved the twists and turns that happen in this book.

    I Also Recommend:

    pretty good sci-fi

This story continues many years later with the son of Syn. Again the sci-fi part is good and easy to follow what is going on. I will say that The League series books all follow a basic format, one of the main characters is or has been treated like scum of the earth and the other not or not as bad, they both desire each other, etc and then they come together. I do enjoy the story but it's kinda similar to her dark hunter series in some ways as well. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy her stories and its worth the read.

    Okay.

I love this series! However, I wasn't very happy with this book.
It kind of felt like Sherrilyn Kenyon was just trying to hurry up and end the series with this one.

    Good but not my favorite

This is probably my least favorite of the series. I enjoyed getting to see some of the original characters but the story line felt like a repeat of book #2. I also felt like the author rushed things between the main two characters. I'd like to see stories dedicated to a few of the supporting characters in the future. Not a bad read, good for a quiet evening but I wouldn't read it again.
