This is an enjoyable heated football romance

Right Touch event planner Tara Lincoln feels fortunate that she got the gig for the NFL San Francisco Sabers summer party. For the past four months Tara killed herself as she know this gala could be a walk-off winning touchdown or a game costing fumble.

The team's star quarterback Mick Riley congratulates her for hosting a fine event. They share a great night together in which she assumes Cinderella goes home to never see Prince Charming ever again. Besides as a single mom she has enough trouble with the male in her life, her troubled teenage son Nathan. However, Mick's trait of never quitting which serves him well in the NFL also has him remain resolute as he wants more than just a one night stand.

This is an enjoyable heated football romance starring a superstar athlete and a single working mom. The story line is faster than Bob Hayes ran for a touchdown in and out of the sack. Ironically the "matchmaker" is also the alibi as Tara hides behind her need to project her child from the crap she went through at his age. Readers will enjoy this excellent sports romance as the QB seeks the Perfect Play to win the game of love as he already has her heart.

If you're looking for a good read...look elsewhere

Not worth the money. The plot was weak and shallow and where the dialogue was supposed to be witty and humorous it was cliched and flat. Very predictable. Also as a lover of smutty books I didn't even enjoy the sex scenes in this story. They couldn't keep my attention and it was just all sappy talk about deep connections after meeting a half hour before, "making love" and telling one another when they were about to climax. The author tried for a lot with this book it seemed but all I took from it was HORRIBLE football puns and a dream of returned money. If you're looking for a good read, please save your time and hard earned cash and look elsewhere.

    A smoking hot read.

Pro football player Mick Riley leads a charmed live. He has a world full of riches and more woman then he can handle. He meets sexy and confident event planner Tara Lincoln and he is willing to commit to this one woman. Mick has his work cut out for him with Tara, she wants nothing to do with the glitz and glamour of Mick's world.

Tara Lincoln's world revolves around her teenage son and building her fledgling business. Getting the team summer kick off party for the San Francisco Sabers is just the ticket to help her event planning business grow and to give her and her son a bit more of a cushion in life. Though wildly attracted to quarterback Mick Riley she can't let it go past their one wild night of passion.

But Mick always has a well thought out game plan and it ready to put all the right moves on Tara. He just doesn't want her to appreciate the things he has to offer but to value him as a man. Tara has been burned by love before and guards her heart with care. Its going to take a hail Mary pass to get through her defenses.

The Perfect Play is just that perfect. It's a smoking hot read as well as an intimate look on how love develops and grows. The sexual chemistry between these two are one of the hottest in print. Their emotional journey is equally as powerful and draws you into these characters. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

    Awesome story

Another Jaci Burton exciting read. hot!hot!hot!. The review that gave it a bad rating must think PDA is porn. The story was definitely erotic but its also about having love yes love not porn, sneak up and grab hold of this couple. Very well written would definitely reccomend this to all.

    Blah

I loved the cover so i bought the book . The cover is the only thing this book has going for it. Its boring and stale . Couldn't even force myself to finish it . The story had potential but the author just couldn't pull it off.

    I really like this author

The story was good and Hot but I stayed because of the plot. I like the characters - but I will admit at the end I skimmed some of the sex scenes because I cared more about where the characters where going in their relationship than the description yet another sex scene - but I was involved in the story enough to buy the 2nd book and now I want to read the thrid

This was a well written book. Mrs. Burton gave the steamy scenes that bit of extra flavor thats all her own. I didn't care to much for Tara because she had some hangups that she really just needed to get over. yeah yeah I know it's just a book but hey I love to read :) Can't wait for the next book in this series.

    Holy crap - fabulous!

This book was utterly amazing. The characters were interesting and well developed. My favorite part was that the entire book wasn't filled with conflict. There were a lot of romantic and happy times so it was easy to believe how the two leads could fall for each other. Many times a story is so full of conflict, it's hard to understand how the leads can fall in love. And the sex is hot, hot, hot. FABULOUSLY SEXY !

    Pure awesomeness!

    Review By Alaiel Kreuz:

There is no way to start this review without fearing that the only thing you are going to really pay attention to is the cover. And I can't blame you, hahaha, I mean, seriously, this cover?! Is PURE HOTNESS. I'm sure I would have bought the book even without hearing the great things about it. But before continuing with the review please, remember to clean the mess your mouth just did by drooling at the screen.

Ready? Great, here we go! So, right fromt he start we are set with Mick, one of the biggest stars in the industry of sport and not by coincidence, his manager, the sexy and heartless Elizabeth Darnell knew how to promote him using girls, major events and advertisements. He owned her all the money he had. But he money was not important for him, he was one of the best quarterbacks out there and he played because he loved the game. And not long ago he used to love the girls Elizabeth threw at his arms but not any more.

And here is where our female protagonist comes in: Tara Lincoln had being planning the biggest event her small company, The Right Touch, had ever had, an event for the Mick's team "San Francisco Sabers". They had met briefly when she needed directions to find her way to the main office so she could get her contract singed but they didn't get exchange names and the party was the perfect moment.

Mick and Tara had a connection, a real connection. They both felt it during the party and they both kept feeling it during the sex. But Tara had a very important person in her life to think about, her 14 years old son Nathan. And she wasn't going to introduce any man in her life for him, meaning: bye-bye, Mick Riley.
Why you ask? Well, Mick had a big reputation being a player and there was no way he would want something serious with her.

But our hot guy wasn't the kind of man who would give up so easily, he really liked her and what if she had a son? He was good with kids and he was going to prove it.

What he didn't expect was that his best friend and former agent, Liz, didn't like his relationship with Tara and the media consequences of it...

And now, in a more personal way: Before reading the book go and get a fan, I assure you you will need it. The sex scenes in this book are AWESOME, Jaci doesn't hesitate when it comes to describe feelings, sensations and places... body places. The way the characters talk is hot, the way they make you feel is hot and I promise that if it weren't for Tara I would have jump above him. This book was eroticness itself.

I loved the fact that Jaci Burton actually developed Nathan's character. There are lots of books where the sons and daughters only appear once or twice and then are forgotten, but no in this book and I enjoyed that.
And it doesn't stop with him, far from it, Mick's family have a role in the story and in the next book ;)

Now, please, stop reading and buy the book.

    Love the story... 'touchdown'!

I am a Jaci Burton fan and I was captured from the first line of this book. I appreciated how the main characters were developed and had flaws that they worked on through the relationship. A believable story of love, trust, and redemption.

    ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

A delicious romance about characters that were well written. Mick and Tara delevoped nicely until the end. The plot was capitivating intertwined with the likes of reality. I am looking forward to the next book.

    Not Recommended

This book was very explicit (Porn). I share books with my 18 year old, who should not be reading this type of book. This book needed to be rated X. I deleted immediately.
