    Its ok

Not totaly in love with this series. Just getting so tired of all these short storys. Nobody wants to write a full book anymore. You have something good going and then just when your into it the story stops. If your going to call yourself a writer than write a full story.

This is one story I could not put down. Julia can't forget the great night one night she had with Clay and the chemistry they had together was unbelievable. Little does she know but Clay is having trouble forgetting also. They reconnect but Julia has a problem she wants to keep from Clay, and she doesn't want him dragged into her mess.

When they are together they make up for lost time and it's hot and steamy. Clay loves the dirty talk and a little roughness and Julia likes to give it back, but they also have tender moments together to catch there breath which was a nice addition to a very sexy story.

I liked the story, it was well written, we learn about Clay and his passed life and broken relationship, and about Julia' problem's even though Clay was in the dark about that for quite a while.

I knew the book was a cliffhanger, I don't like them, only because I'm too impatient to wait for the next instalment, but I had to read this book and I was not disappointed. It was hot and steamy, dirty and a little kinky, and I want more.

A complimentary copy was provided by the publisher for an honest review.

This book is hot, hot, hot! I love that we get to see more Clay

This book is hot, hot, hot! I love that we get to see more Clay and Julie after their first encounter in First Night. Clay has the dirtiest mouth around and the skills to back it up. Julia is a strong, self-driven woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. Together their pure heat!!
What stands out and makes Clay different than every other alpha, controlling fictional character is that he never comes off as a jerk. He never treats Julia with any disrespect and lets her be her own woman. He's protective of her but not in an overbearing way that tends to turn me off from a lot of other characters. In bed he is demanding, controlling and seems to hold all of the power but he never takes more than Julia can give, but he isn't afraid to ask for more either.
I cannot wait to see where their story heads in the next book After This Night.
First you brought us Davis Milo and now Clay Nichols, well done Lauren Blakely.

I can't believe it ended that way. I loved this book so much I already preordered the next one which comes out May 12th. Julia and Clay's story is so unique that it keeps you entranced. It has remarkable love scenes but doesn't ever cross over to being trashy. I am hoping it works out for the better for them. Lauren Blakely did a fabulous job

Night After Night, Lauren Blakely. Review from jeannie zelos bo

    Night After Night, Lauren Blakely.
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews
I wasn't sure about this at first, it sounded good, but then there are so many erotic trilogies out at the moment and the quality varies condsiderbly. I'd never read any of Lauren's books before, although she's a prolific author. Still, I took the plunge and requested and I'm so glad I did.
It's a story that raced along at breakneck speed. The chemistry between Clay and Julia is incredible, sensual and erotic, carnal and steaming off the page...I could feel the pull between them, and the sex scenes were really well written, very tantalising and not those awful overblown, dragged out ones where you just wish the characters would get on with it and put the reader out of their misery. Writers vary in their abilities to write erotic scenes, and clearly Lauren has it cracked, as these were just perfect for the story. Sometimes when the characters get together so soon, as they did here, the story gets lost in page after page of mindless and dull sex, but not this one. The story and the mystery behind Julia's actions and Clay's reservations are always forefront, and that how I like it. Story first, sex second, as an additional lure. After their first encounter Caly wants more and invites Julia for a weekend. She wants to go but has problems that make a realtionship impossible...still, she tells herself, its only for two days and that will be it...yeah, we've all done that, told ourselves what we want to hear, and this is what she's doing, digging in deeper, knowing she shouldn't. She's got real, scary problems and not from her making poor girl. If she doesn't toe the line though her friends and family are at risk, so her life just isn't her own.
I enjoyed this book so much that I need to know whats coming next, so I'm off to buy ( with my own money!!) the next two books. Actually the whole trilogy is out now, and it works out cheaper that way. My favourite way to read these novels is right through in one go, so that works well for me and it'll be one to join my keepers file.
Stars: Five. A steamy read, great story, real people and problems and lots of sensual encounters.

The chemistry is actually hotter than the book covers. The story

The chemistry is actually hotter than the book covers. The story pulls you in, grips you and refuses to let go. It's been a long tme since I've had a read like this in my hands. Clay is HOT ALPHA MALE personified. He works hard, plays hard, apreciates everything he's accomplished and goes after what he wants. Julia is no slouch in the heroine department either. Strong, fiercely independent and protective of everyone close to her. The attraction (both physical and emotional) between Clay and Julia is palpable on each page and you never want to stop turning them. The sex is so hot that you might actually think about calling 911, but you'd have to put the book down for that - and I cannot imagine you doing that. Julia is in a bit of a pickle due to her ex's actions. Unfortunately, this lands right on her doorstep one morning and she asks Clay to trust her to take care of the situation her way and without his assistance. Clay's not sure he can go down a road lined with secrets due to his past with his ex. The story ends on a cliff, but the final installment is out so there's no reason not to start this. I would recommend this to anyone who reads.

    VERY SEXY!

I really enoyed this book. The characters were great the sex is freakin amazing. The chemistry between Clay and julia is off the charts hot. The suspence kept me intrigued throughout the story. I really do hate to say this but the story was kind boring other than the amazingly hot hot sex. Did I mention the sex is really hot? Lol. I do recommend this book.

    Loved this story and author

I love this authors work. This has the prequil story "first night...which is .99 or free" at the begining of this book. Then it starts "after this night". Total pages is about 165. Even tjough the story is short, you will be grabbed right away and not want to stop reading. The characters and story are well rounded.
Clay asks julia to come to new york for a weekend of fun, food, a movie and bedroom fun. Julia says yes but knows thar her problem from the past will still be waiting when she comes back. They have a great weekend and get to know each other and want to proceed with a relationship, but julia gets a call and she jumps up and leaves clay hanging and not understanding what happened. A week passes and he drunk texts her. She texts back and they slowly get back into swings. He shows up at her house and they have a great time. But again her past creeps up and he cant stand her lying to him so he leaves mad. Now i have to go buy the next one. Dying to see what happens. Kristy dean

Holy Hotness! Hot - check! Suits & ties - check! Dirty talking - check and check! Clay has it all! Night After Night is steamy, sexy, and seductive. It's also a big tease leaving you hanging at the end. The chemistry between Clay & Julia is off the chart. Lauren Blakely has been my fave author for awhile now, and each book just gets better and better. I can't wait to experience the final edition of their love story. Bring on After This Night!

I'd waited until the second book came out before reading this one. I hate unfinished books. I should have saved myself the trouble. I found it predictable and frequently boring. Didn't like the heroine's character in the sex scenes at all. The story line is implausible because she can't possible be so clueless that she doesn't realize she is in danger and needs help. Can't recommend this one.
