Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

    Absolutely recommend

Loved Jet -- the main character. We've all got a little Jet in us; someone who tries to do it all herself. She's got a crazy family and who wouldn't want to be pursued by Eddie? Even though you're pretty sure you know how this will end, the twists, turns, and great characters keep this moving at a fast clip...love the Rock Chick series, you have to read all of them!

I find that I love this series more and more as it goes on. Eddie and Jet's chemistry is electric, even if she tries to deny it for most of the story. Watching her cave and accept him, plus accept the friendships that are offered to her was quite amusing. Of course, as always, the secondary cast was also wonderfully entertaining. I am in love with the friendships that are formed in the Rock Chick family, and also the bonds that Lee's boys have with each of the "pains in the ass". Smithie was a new one for me, I wasn't sure how to take him, but he ended up on of my favorites of the book. You have it all in this one, a little suspense, mean sharks after the little prey, hot macho guys, storybook friendships and a love story that was fun to read. So many parts of this book I felt like I was in the room watching the action, great writing.

    Just ok for me...

I've really tried to get in to this series, but just can't. For me, it's just too wordy...much prefer Dream Man and Chaos series - those I can't put down!!!

One of the better books in the series

Eddie and Jet are great characters and their story was really good. You can read it stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order.

    I Also Recommend:

Fun! Yum!  On this reread, I found I really really liked Eddie.

    Fun! Yum!
On this reread, I found I really really liked Eddie. He is an amazing hot alpha male.  I too have a thing for
our Southern brothers and wish they starred in many more romance novels along with our Southern
sisters. I like Jet a bit too even with her self esteem issues.  She is funny and I love how she comes into
    her own.

The mad frolic of this book is great as is the togetherness of the love story. Mayhem and kooky badass
    friends. I love it.

What I don't love about this book is the ending. It is lame. I know the next book in the series starts two
days later but I don't care. I want KA to do a redo with an Epilogue like only she can do.

You do get the full tale in the later books but sheesh...

Another amazing book written by Kristen Ashley!! Eddie and Jet

Another amazing book written by Kristen Ashley!!

Eddie and Jet are HOT! She's a bull headed independant woman, and he's a cop that has no issues throwing his weight around (in more way than one). Of course the Rock Chick and Hot Bunch gang that runs through the back ground, really brings the story together.

First off, how could I not like a book that features Jet’s father walking in and singing “Jet” by Paul McCartney & Wings? I gotta love it, it is Paul McCartney (and so super cute when her father sings it for her.) However, that is the only cute thing that he does in this book. Jet’s father has some bad men after him and he leads them right to Jet, which Eddie does not approve of, at all.

I will say the favorite part of this book (besides getting to read about all the sexy man character’s in action) was the first few chapters. I loved how KA set it up as a continuous fail for Jet with her actions towards Eddie. For Jet, Eddie was so attractive that she couldn’t think straight and always made a fool of herself while she was around. This leads her to just ignore him when he was in the room or remove herself from that room so she would not embarrass herself. But she still does it anyways. At a party, when Jet tells Eddie that she doesn’t like his type (and he takes it as a racist comment) my heart quickly traveled to my throat! I found myself saying, “No, Eddie, come back. I personally know that she didn’t mean it that way. I swear! Kristen Ashley, you better fix this and fix this fast because I wanted my sexy Eddie back.” And when he comes back, *shoo* he comes back ready to fight for his newly claimed woman. ¿ how could you not like that?!
