Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble

If you think that the author must be one of the Robertsons of Duck Dynasty, you're obviously not a fan of The Bachelor. Courtney Robertson was not only the Season 16 winner on the series; she was also the most hated contestant in the history of the show and, indeed, in the entire annals of reality TV. Thus, her new memoir stands as her grand defense of her controversial single-minded behavior. I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends won't convince all her critics, but it will generate major tabloid media coverage, and it's the most detailed insider account yet of Bachelor or any of its spin-offs.

I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends is a really great book. I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Typically I steer towards books on political figures, but this was a great escape into a totally different genre.

She has to be one of the most disgusting people I've seen. No conscience whatsoever. And her book is proof of that.

    Loved it!

I honestly felt how a lot of America did, that Courtney was just crazy and evil. But after reading this book, its true you cannot judge a book by its cover. Courtney was strong enough to share her story, which I loved! She seems like an amazing person trying to find love. Definitely a great book!

I loved this book! I was actually a fan of Courtney during her season of the Bachelor and this confirmed what I thought to be true. She is funny and did fall in love with Ben. The book doesn't victimize Courtney nor does it make her a hero. It just states the truth about her and what took place on her season. Nice job Courtney!!!

    Interesting

I liked this book even though I am not a fan of the show. What's wrong with people who attack and belittle people they see on a reality show? You are all judgemental bullies picking on the pretty girl. This book shows it really hurts. The show is to blame for taking clips and presenting people in a warped way to get viewers. It seems like more people have been hurt and dammaged than have found love on the show. Triscut, I mean Trista, what a looser for attaching another woman you didn't know. Trying to get attention?
I wish Courtney the best, good for her for writing about this.

So funny! Must read for Bachelor fans!

This book is full of juicy details about The Bachelor and Ben's season. It also has many other details about other people Courtney has encountered. I laughed many times throughout the book and it made me love Courtney and understand her a bit more. This book was hard to put down because I was so entertained!

Courtney Robertson wasn't popular when she was on TV, and she knows it. But in this frank account Courtney sets the record straight. She is honest about her feelings and actions and that truth rings true in the pages of this book.

I wasn't sure I would like this book. I wasn't a fan of hers when she was on the bachelor but I was pleasantly surprised. She owned up to her bad behaviour and apologized for her words and actions. At this point she can't take any of it back but she did own up to it. She also had some insightful anectodates. She explained some of the things that didn't make it to TV. She talked about the ins and outs of the show and I found that very interesting. By the end of the book she had just about won me over. She still didn't always filter fairly before she said something so I'm still holding back a little. I do think under the right circumstances she would be someone I would like to get to know better. I definitely recommend this as an interesting read.
