London in a nutshell but graphically!!!

Excellent travel guide both for first time visitors to London as well as seasoned travellers. It made a whole difference in my trip to London last November. Be sure to obtain the latest edition - London is an old city that changes dramatically from year to year.

    An essential guide for London

My husband and I carried this book everywhere we went in London. There is so much to see and do in that city, that having an Eyewitness Travel guide is a MUST. You may make lots of plans before you arrive, but it is doubtful you'll really have time for everything. This book helped us prioritize what we really wanted to see.

    more from this reviewer

Our trip to London wouldn't have been the same without this guide! We always count on the Eyewitness series wherever we travel.

This is the one guide you need to carry around with you in London to get the most out of your time to explore. With subway maps, street maps, illustrations of key sights to see, and brief, factual accounts of these sights, this book was the definitive guide. If you're not familiar with the Eyewitness series, this is the perfect start. The only area that is not comprehensive is the hotel and restaurant section -- use another source for that information since this one just lists a few. Organized by areas of the city, this guide allowed us to progress through London with the ability to plan for efficiency but allow for plenty of spontaneity and discovery.

    A reviewer

I bought this book because every other travel book was just full of writing and they were really long and very boaring. But this book has lots of pictures on every page and it talks about everything in the city! i would definitly recommend this book!!!!
