Loved this book. Have been to Paris 3 times, bought this book the 3rd time and loved all the detailing of less mainstream places to visit. The pictures are a wonderful feature often piquing your interest in something you may have passed over otherwise. Metro stops, bus or train needed, hours and days open, location on back-of-book maps etc. are included with each description. The maps in the back are great. A must buy.

I actually bought this guide while on an extended stay in Paris. This guide breaks the city by the areas of interest. It helps you to orient yourself with the city more quickly and get a sense of where things are.

Well, I wasn't planning on going to Paris anytime soon, but after reading this book I think I will! This book is an awesome reference if your planning to take a trip to Paris, and it's totally inspiring if you just want to learn about Paris. Do not rob yourself of this oppurtunity! Buy it now!

This is a great reference! I am preparing to go study in Paris, and this guide has a lot of specific details about a variety of places/things in Paris, including tips on how to get around and other things that differ from the U.S. It has a lot of pictures and many detailed maps that I find helpful. It also provides web addresses for many of the sights and businesses that may be helpful. I find the layout ideal, it covers Paris by each arrondisment, by specific traveler's needs such as restaurants and hotels, and also has a 'Survival Guide' with information on getting around, customs info, currency info, and lots more. I highly recommend this travel guide, and I will probably also purchase the DK France guide before I go!
