Gene Openshaw is a writer, composer, tour guide, and lecturer on art and history. Specializing in writing walking tours of Europe's cultural sights, Gene has coauthored 10 of Rick's books and contributes to Rick's public television series. As a composer, Gene has written a full-length opera (Matter), a violin sonata, and dozens of songs. He lives near Seattle with his daughter, and roots for the Mariners in good times and bad.

This book had lots of ideas for things to see and do. Alot of it had to do with bike riding, which wasn't helpful for me, but would be to others. It is difficult to use this kind of book on the nook, as you can't dog ear pages - or easily use it while touring.

As usual, Rick Steves' information is good, but the non-color Nook is not a good format, as the maps are illegible. In addition, it's difficult to go back and find information due to the limited # of bookmarks allowed and the inability to label a bookmark. Also, not all information is hyperlinked, such as the Index which also didn't provide page numbers.
I thought this would be a great way to carry the book with me, but will opt for the paper version in the future.

As always, rick steves books are great and a solid look into destinations. Love the walking tours.
