    Highly Recommended!

I bought this book one day before I left on a 12-day Baltic cruise. It was a great book to have for the cruise port excursions. I was able to read the chapter on the cruise port city the day before we arrived, and I was able to get a good overview of the city. Especially beneficial were the listings of the public busses and trams one could use while in town. Great book!

    Highly Recommended - Great Resource

This was our first trip to the Baltic, so we knew little about the cities we would be visiting. This book was a great pre-trip resource as well as a fantastic in-port guide. Only one stop (Kristiansand) was not covered. However, all the others had great in-depth explanations on how to get from the ship to the town(s) and walking tours with lots of good information on what to look for along the way. Rick's humor was also appreciated. We actually purchased both the book (for indoor reference) and the eBook (as an in-port reference). We used the eBook version on our tablet to read as we roamed. The only things that could have been better are the walking tour maps...the book maps details are not the most complete; but that is easily solved by picking up a local (free) map from any tourist info center.

    Excellent Northern Europe ports reference

This book is great! Each port has its own section and the book has instructions to be taken apart so you only need to take along the ports you go to. There is a wealth of information with maps, where ATM's and wireless internet is located. There is so much information in here I can't begin to list everything. Mr Rick Steves is obviously a very seasoned European traveler
