I have used the Washington, Colorado, and Utah Gazetteers made by DeLorme and these are accurate and valuable maps. However, for some reason the Oregon version is choked with errors and misinformation. I used this map book for a 6-day camping trip to major tourist destinations and found it to be inadequate and ended up wasting significant time and gas money. AVOID THIS BOOK and find another source for Oregon maps. I do recommend the Washington, Utah, and Colorado gazetteers made by this same company.

These atlas's is one of the best things you can buy if you live in Oregon. It is dead useful. I use mine all the time, as it shows pretty much all of Oregon roads. It even includes unique natural features, boat landings and much more. It even has a lot of hiking trails.

Useful in navigation. Convenient format. Has been useful for travel in Oregon. Elevation is there but not always clear.

This Gazeteer is lacking for practical use for hiking and camping in Oregon. We were looking for areas to camp/hike near Hood River, and this Gazeteer fell short of being a comprehensive guide for this type of recreational acitivity. I think that in this case, the gazeteer would be a supplemental guide to a Oregon hiking/camping book.
