We went to Maui with long time friends of ours that had been to Maui a few times before. They own a time share condo in Maui and had invited us to join them on this trip to Maui. They had been there before so they were aware of lots of things to do in Maui and had done some of the things suggested in the guide but attested to the fact that our little "Maui Bible" had made their trip better because of the tips and suggestions it gave. All I know is we had an incredible week and saw some incredible and amazing things and many of those memories were suggestions in the Frommers Maui Day by Day guide. We are looking forward to returning to Maui and doing even more of the things we did not have time to do or see.

This book is horrible! Not only is the organization poor, but some of the recommendations are terrible (e.g., it brought us to a dirty, disgusting sandwich shop that doubled as a "dog sanctuary" so it was surrounded by wandering, dirty, mangy dogs!!). We were also led on a very dangerous drive and I looked at other books which specifically said not to drive this road at night. Don't buy this book!
