I read this cover to cover and feel ready to really experience the history of Williamsburg. I was there in 2011 with my family but never had the experience Wiiliamsburg provides. If I read this before my last visit I am certain we would have lived the experience not just saw a historical site. Already booked a condo nearby and after reading this book I was convinced I had to book two night in a tavern room and wake up with the sound of hoof beats on the street in front of my room. I even sent a copy to my brother and another couple in advance so they could share the experience. The street by street guide helped me understand what a colonial community was all about.
