I live on Oahu and just picked this up for my yearly Kaua`i trip. Although it's mostly in black and white (the first 20 or so pages are in color), this book was the best bet out of all the books on the shelf. It is so much more in depth than the other big names like Lonely Planet. What I really like about it is that it's the only book on Kaua`i out there that is actually written by someone who lives in the state. Awesome book with thorough info and really great local insight.
