This book was really not very helpful, although it does have pretty photos. We spent two weeks in the Baltics with both this and the Lonely Planet guidebook. This one was so much less helpful. I will say that the regional maps are a little better in this one if you're driving. Other than that this book was an inferior guide in every way.

I always start my travel plans with the DK Eyewitness guides. Their pictures and diagrams are so helpful. The "Top Ten" versions are especially easy to carry, unless you choose to take them electronically, which is even easier.
