I said "someday"

It is not yet here. I'm not even sure if it ever will be.
"But man [was] it glorious...."

Until then, here's some pictures of me from an intramural game vs Hard Salami (I think).
The guy in the white helmet, barely visible on the right edge, is Jeff Thorton. He was playing center, and gave me a nice drop pass. As I got my stick on the puck, it kinda bounced; my shot went wide left. You can see the puck between my legs--notice how it is actually off the ice. I'm not yet able to lift the puck when I want to...
If you look closely, you can see the reflection of the scoreboard above and to the left of the goalie. You can maybe make out the score being 4-0 in our favor, late in the first period.

This shot is from the second period of the same game. Notice how BAD my form is:
  • The blade of the stick is not flat,
  • My knees should be bent more... The puck is just barely visible on the right (my right, as I'm skating) side of my stick. Notice also that being tall is a disadvantage. I now make a deliberate effort to position my right hand lower on the stick, so more of the blade is on the ice.
