Description
The photo archive is from the “Golden Years” of BriSCA F1 Stockcar Racing, which is mainly the 1970s. Change was, basically unknowingly, introduced by a youthful 391 Stuart Smith who built a new chassis and fitted a spanking new engine - which took him to his first World Title and the coveted Gold Roof.
For those who were either there and remember this period, these photo albums will bring back some memories.
Sadly some of the biggest names in the sport at that time have passed on, so in a way these pictures keep alive memories of the exciting period when F1 Stockcar's started to evolve into the sport it is today.
The eBooks include pictures from lowly novice white tops who moved on after a season or two, - to the stars and legends some were to become. 391 Stuart Smith, 396 Doug Cronshaw, 2 Willie Harrison, 306 Mick Noden, 252 Dave Chisholm, 375 George Ansell - and many more.
You can see 53 John Lund in a car that looked as if it would not make a lap - yet statistics show he apparently went on to achieve more than the Legendary Stuart Smith.
The photo images cater for those who like to see - what I called back then - a car portrait, which is the car racing - and for those who like the "Crash Bang Wallop" of stock cars, there are enough pictures to keep you happy!
