I am a software engineer and researcher specializing in AR, VR, computer graphics, computer animation, virtual agents, avatars, and telepresence. I am proficient in development of 3D graphics software using C++, Python, Maya, C#, and Unity. Currently, I am employed at Facebook Reality Labs, where I am helping build a framework for synthetic data generation in support of machine learning efforts for the next generation of Oculus-brand devices. Previously, I was the technical lead for the avatars project at Magic Leap.
I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For my thesis, I invented several new methods for the synthesis of gaze animation for virtual characters. You can see my publications here.
