Why

Powerpoint is too painful to use for presentations, and the results tend to be of poor quality. The solution is to use LaTeX Beamer, which is included with all modern TeX distributions (I recommend TeXLive).

There does not seem to be an official University of Wisconsin template, so here is a first stab at something that works.

Details

This template positions some UW logos at reasonable locations and generally tries to stay out of the way. It is based on one of the official themes (Berlin, if I recall).

Usage

The name of the theme is Wisconsin. This theme currently has two options:

nav
Add a translucent navigation bar in the lower right corner
white
Use an alternate black-on-white color theme, instead of the default white-on-black
nologo
Remove the decorative UW logo in the title of each slide
sections
Show the section name under each slide title
noslidenumbers
Turn off slide numbers
