Downloading jTree

jTree is free to use (on the Internet only). All I ask in return is that you let me know where you use it, so I can include a link to your site on my page. The version that you download is limited to a maximum of 10 children per node. If you need more, just email me. Also, there is a small link at the bottom right of the tree frame that links back to this site. If you want a version without the link, email me. If you want enhancements, or have suggestions etc etc, please let me know.

This file contains the jTree class files, and the pages at this site. Simply pkunzip with Winzip or something that will retain long file names, and open index.html with your browser. Modify or replace the pages to suit your needs.

  • Allow wallpaper image for the frame.
  • Optimize screen repainting to minimize java-flicker.
  • Improved scrolling.
  • Include a tag builder applet.
  • Remove the requirement for a root node.
  • Provide more options for the control panel on the browser window.
