!Adobe Illustrator CS2
Adobe Illustrator is all around good software.  If you don't know how to use it, take a class from Doit for free, or just experiment, it's a lot of fun.
!Licensing Issues
The newest version the Geography Department has a license for is CS2.  
The Nelson Institute does not have a license for this software, therefore it should not be installed on their computers.  
!Printing Issues
On some configurations, [ArcMap|?page=arcgis] is set to tell Illustrator to print everything in Grayscale.  This can cause some confusion when the Color printer starts printing in Black and White.  If such a case arises, let the student [print for free|?page=itc].  Ask the student to try to print again, but before sending the job to the printer, check the color management setting and change "Let Illustrator decide what colors to use" to "Let printer decide what colors to use".
