!CD Burning Software You have choices when it comes to CD burning software, I suggest limiting the number of CD burning programs to two per image. #Windows XP and Vista have CD burning capabilities built into the OS #Another modern CD burner (With no OEM restrictions) !OEM restrictions We have literally 100 CD's of CD burning software. Feel free to prune them, most came with different computers, nearly all are out of date. Many versions of Nero and EasyCD Creator require the CD/DVD-Rom drive to be installed which the software originally came with. If you get a working copy of Nero, make sure you update it to the latest possible version, many don't work with the DVD burners in the Black Antech Computers. I suggest installing deepburner, it is shareware and not opensource, but it is not buggy, doesn't have time restrictions and it burns ISOs and DVD's. !DVD movie burning There are several OEM versions of DVD authoring programs interspersed with the [other discs|?page=software_storage]. No one has ever expected these to be installed on any of the computers so don't bother with them. However, in 2006, [Tom Tews|?page=people] bought a DVD-rom drive for a computer in the Geography Library to play DVD's, it may be expected that computers in the Geography Library be able to play DVD's but the librarians will probably check with you if a need arises.
