!IRM IRM stands for Information Request Manager. It is where people with problems go to ask the Helpdesk if they don't want to come to the office directly. ---- The website is sciencehall.wisc.edu/irm . You should have a computer staff logon account. ---- The page the is shown initially are the jobs that have been assigned to you, click tracking queue to see the list of unfinished jobs. You can comment on the status of the job, update the status and close the job from here. ---- !Checking the IRM You should check the IRM frequently. It gets used daily and sometimes the newest information is not always at the top of the list. ---- !Additional Features In your spare time, feel free to take inventory of the computers and enter them into the IRM. Beware, many computers in lab seats have the same netbios name as their forebears. Deleting records from any database without a good reason is never a good idea. This part of the IRM is pretty unused anyway. ---- If I were still working here, I'd write my own database and sell it to Paul for 40 bucks and change.
