Storyline
It starts off seriously enough, with three thugs robbing an innocent young woman at night in the city, but then switches to Vin Saxon and Carolyn Brandt doing a goofy Elvis-like rock 'n roll number (very charming though). The next day the thugs are bored. Picking a name at random out of the phone book, they decide to terrorize Carolyn Brandt. After some campy dramatic scenes, she is kidnapped by the goons. They decide to ransom her. After receiving the ransom call, Vin Saxon and the good-natured, but not- to-bright gardener sit around despondent, wondering what to do. "There's only one thing to do!" exclaims Vin. The two rush off into the next room and become the costumed heroes Rat Pfink and Boo Boo... Written by

Trivia
When the kidnappers open the briefcase containing comics, the most visible magazine is Issue #2 (January 1965) of "Monster World," published by Warren and featuring the cast of
The Munsters (1964) on the cover. Monster World was a sister publication of Famous Monsters. While Famous Monsters had a long distinguished career, folding only when Warren went under, Monster World didn't last as long.

It always makes me wonder when I see people call a film like Rat Pfink A Boo Boo "terrible" or "worst movie ever made". What exactly did they expect from this movie? Rat Pfink is cheaply made, badly acted, and badly written. But it is one of the most fun movies ever created. It crosses musicals, beach party movies and superhero films. Add to that a comedy gorilla and you have pure joy on film. If you want to see a really bad movie check out one of the pretentious pieces of garbage that clog up cinema screens every week. The ones that think they have something to say but are really just vanity pictures and special effects fests. No heart, no soul, no fun. I'm referring to the likes of Forrest Gump, I Am Sam, A Beautiful Mind, Jurassic Park, Planet Of The Apes (remake), Independence Day. The films that go a little way towards destroying cinema every time one of them is released. Pour your scorn on them and see Rat Pfink A Boo Boo for what it is, bad but entertaining.
